                                      SPY REPORT

Hail JHELUM! Warriors of the arena, prepare to be praised and blamed for your
deeds. And let's see, JOSEPH fought CONVICTED THIEF and gained 13 points and
contributed to DOGS OF WAR's 3-2-0. PETE MASTIFF has lost to THE PROSTITUTE, falling
3 points, while helping make DOGS OF WAR a 3-2-0 turn. Defending his title for
another turn, M1A1 kept JHELUM's warrior, VETERAN MERCENARY, from claiming the
throne. By the way, was that our Duelmaster that I saw last night, cramped under the
table at The Dripping Blade?
He who challenges well, fights well. He who avoids without cause, shall lose
for good reasons. My mama told me that one. THE WALL has cause to stand tall, as
they were JHELUM's most avoided team. A smart manager knows this is a team to beat.
And guess who avoided THE WALL stable the most? Believe it or not, it was TANKS FOR
NOTHIN'. Anyone surprised? The most challenged warrior this turn was THE WALL's
warrior TEACHER. More fighters challenged him than challenged the Duelmaster! Tsk,
tsk, tsk. MIA2, does your manager know you're challenging down 30 points to fight
TEACHER from THE WALL? I thought challenges were for warriors, not cowards looking
for easy wins. MIA2 bested TEACHER, is nothing sacred?
A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once. Wise men know this to
be true. A brave warrior does not carry a red shield, he has nothing to cover or
hide when the fight is over. Consider well.
I like this place, JHELUM, the taverns have old wine, and young serving girls.
Who could ask for more? Always good to rest in JHELUM, but never good to wear out my
welcome. Look for me in future turns. Until you see my quill in JHELUM again,
farewell-- Alarond the Scribe

M1a1 -- That was an action below and beneath your proper calling. I'll be MONTHS

recovering from this, but at least I won't have to return to the arena. Medical
discharge. A relief, to be frank about it. Elephants are a lot easier to deal with.

The Prostitute -- Gods, Lysistrata will have a FIT if she sees you doing that. Get
off my chest! -- Leonidas

The Judge -- Only one skill? Can nobody around here teach? I'm getting disgusted
with this one-skill business. -- Pete Mastiff

Ah, the Embezzling Scribe, just the kind of opponent I like to see! Unless I bleed
to death from paper cuts, he can't do much to me. -- Challorn
