SPY REPORT
Busy, busy, busy, lots of things happening in JHELUM this turn, and let's start
with a look at some of the teams. And let's see, PETE MASTIFF fought DANGEROUS
CRIMINAL and gained 14 points and contributed to DOGS OF WAR's 3-2-0. MIA2 has lost
to VENOMOUS VIXEN, falling 28 points, while helping make TANKS FOR NOTHIN' a 2-3-1
turn. This turn M1A1 Dark Arena Challenged BANDIT PRINCE in what was JHELUM's Title
bout. Defending his title for another turn, M1A1 kept DARK ARENA's warrior, BANDIT
PRINCE, from claiming the throne. Can someone confirm a rumor for me? I hear the
top team makes their losing fighters do dishes at The Dripping Blade until they win.
Maybe?
I tell you, a green quarterstaff lasts longer than a seasoned sapling. A basher
friend of mine assures me this is true. I also notice that the DOGS OF WAR stable
was the most avoided team this turn. Come on JHELUM, what are you afraid of? And
guess who avoided DOGS OF WAR stable the most? Believe it or not, it was TANKS FOR
NOTHIN'. Anyone surprised? The most challenged warrior this turn was THE WALL's
warrior TEACHER. More fighters challenged him than challenged the Duelmaster!
The Dark Arena is for those who cannot win, not who cannot lose with grace.
Dignity in life or death is the warrior's creed. M1A1 must have surprised TANKS FOR
NOTHIN' this turn, after they sent him to the Dark Arena, but the Dark Arena couldn't
hold him! TANKS FOR NOTHIN' made what looks to be a tough decision this turn, as
they sent LEOPARD, with a record of 17-3-0, to LEOPARD death. Farewell, hers. This
is not good to see. Why pray tell has LEOPARD been sent to the Dark Arena by TANKS
FOR NOTHIN'? And why with a 17-3-0 record?? A brave warrior does not carry a red
shield, he has nothing to cover or hide when the fight is over. Consider well.
Remember, blood on the purple robe does not change it from a purple robe. Dare
to fight bravely. Always good to rest in JHELUM, but never good to wear out my
welcome. Look for me in future turns. Until the sun next rises and my pen sets to
paper-- Alarond the Scribe

The Prostitute -- Hey, listen, I'm a dog. We don't do things like that. -- Pete
Mastiff
P.S. And it leaves us a lot happier and healthier, too, let me tell you. You won't
see dogs getting stressed out about stuff like that.
P.P.S. Of course, if I catch you in an alley some night, or ANYTIME near my property
line, I'll rip your throat out. Just so you know.
The Judge -- Just because I like things orderly doesn't mean I subscribe to a
complete book of laws. Too picayune for me. All those little details that should
properly be left to the individual conscience. -- Leonidas
P.S. What, you figure with fewer laws, we'll have sudden massive outbreaks of bad
behavior? Worse than now, I mean? It isn't like people who are going to commit
crimes are all that deterred, is it?
A Convicted Thief. I'm so thrilled. -- Challorn
P.S. And he's got a secret admirer. Whoopee.
Fat lot of good the secret admirer did him. He nearly died anyway. -- Joseph
What? The SAME Convicted Thief that two of my teammates already fought? This is
almost funny. -- Crook
P.S. This time, he required several days' bedrest. I'm not surprised.
M1A1 and Leopard -- So, you're leaving. Lord Ildarwin says that people who are
leaving have no need for local lands. "Local lands," he says, "assuming there are
any available, are for people who are going to stay and take care of them." "The
'Lands for Lord Protectors' scheme," he says, "is all part of a plot of the Lady
Greywand's to gain complete control over every inch of Alastari." He did say,
however, that if you really want local lands, you can negotiate terms with his agent,
Lord Morhaln. Be forewarned, Lord Morhaln is the one who gets sent out to negotiate
treaties with people, and he drives hard bargains. Also, that he is NOT sympathetic
to the idea of absentee landlords. Let me know if you want me to set up a meeting.
