DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Greetings to Jorja, Floyd, Chief, and whoever runs the Kiwi Connection. I
didn't get a DM column done last week so here are two weeks worth of updates:
Raighnall graduated last week. His Arena record is 15-7 and his Tourney Record was
9-9-1. He was 4-3 in the apprentices and the adepts and 1-3 in the Champions
untimed. His numbers are 12(1)-14-10-17-17-4-11 good/good. He has a Master in
intiative and attack and a AE in defense. He favors a high OE and high AL and learns
attack. His weakness is, his favorite weapon is the shortsword and the fact that he
has learned a total of 3 decis skills from 31 FE. He tried the SH against Mountain
Troll and lost because it didn't do enough damage.
Darkclaw (16-6-1) is a pretty decent ST at 9-9-12-21-11-12-11(1) poor/great. He
finished with AE in init, rip, attack, expert def and Master Decis. His average
learn rate was 2.3 per FE. His rhythm sucks at Mod, VL and his favorite weapon is
the maul. Best thing about Darkclaw was the great DMG which according to Terrablood
was a 6% dice roll. His tourney record was (2-3)(3-3)(0-3) pretty much untimed.
Hope he wins in the DA so that he goes into retirement with a victory.
SPY REPORT
The sages err'd not in their foretelling of a god descending upon JHELUM, for I,
Novgorodny Vir, have returned! Practice pays for DENUNZIO, who pummelled JAEGER, to
pocket 11 points. GRELIS FLARG certainly had a baffled expression on his face, after
losing to BLIND BETSY and losing 7 points in the process! Well, Duelmaster DARKCLAW
Dark Arena Challenged DARK ARENA's WURM KIN. Is a 16-6-1 good enough? Those who
hoped for a new Duelmaster were disappointed by WURM KIN, of DARK ARENA, who despite
a 0-0-0 couldn't overcome JHELUM's Number 1. So who's the team that's been walking
into taverns last week and ordering milk? Sounds like a PR stunt to me.
A Zenmaster once told me, 'Does not the spinning wheel turn? And do not the
little birds cry out?' Any ideas?
The moving sword slashes, and having slashed, moves on... WURM KIN in the Dark
Arena wasn't enough for DARKCLAW of SAVAGE HORDE. Maybe that certain serving girl(?)
at The Welcome Wench will be! Ask not for whom the sword slashes; it slashes for
thee.
