DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Surprise! Surprise! Clank takes over the throne. It just goes to show this is
not the Bombette show--just because she has 15 of them. All us Paper Marios were
glad to help pave her way, but, now, I have a throne for myself. And then I am off
to graduation and retirement. Wowser!
So let me tell you about me. I think I've surprised a lot of people, because I
have fought far, far better than I look. I am a basher--unmodified at a grandiose
18-5-10-15-9-16-11. Normal endurance and +3 attack, were my bonuses. As expected, I
can hit for great damage. Is that enough for a 17-5-2 record? Is it?
Luigi's guess is that I am High/Low/Warhammer, but it is really just a guess. I
do have a master attack, adex decise and init expert--but that is before the results
of my last fight. My skill learn rate was a pleasant 2.28, and I only tried two
weapons--the QS at 0-19-2 and the WH at 14-60-9. (2 kills)
Now you know. Luigi will probably post my actuals when he learns them. So. It
is off to the Big Time Retirement. It has been fun. Adios.

SPY REPORT
Greetings, Warriors of KALTOS. Allow this humble servant Novgorodny Vir to give
you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. Practice pays for
GERDIG IBBINS, who pummelled VENOMOUS CONCUBINE, to pocket 16 points. A certain
someone should cut down on the drinking and practice more, after losing 2 points to
HALIBUTT. (Discrete enough, TINY TOES?) Well, Duelmaster CLANK challenged WIZARD'S
WRATH's TIFFINAL. Is a 17-5-2 good enough? CLANK successfully staved off a grab for
the roses by TIFFINAL of WIZARD'S WRATH. Does KALTOS have no one talented enough to
dethrone him? Word has it one team in KALTOS is taking speech lessons to try to bore
their opponent to death. I'll bet it works.
So much to report, so little time! Like the noble eagle soaring amongst the
mountaintops, so stand the warriors of CASSEY'S CREW, alone and unchallenged. Like a
pup with its tail between its legs, PAPER MARIO scurried away from CASSEY'S CREW.
Oh, the shame! Is it charming personality? Conversational abilities? Good oral
hygiene? Whatever it is, APPRENTICE is the most challenged warrior. My love of
complete Spyreports dictates that I note the mismatched fight, BOMBETTE and
APPRENTICE. Are PAPER MARIO unwilling to engage in a fair fight? I thought BOMBETTE
showed great skill and promise when she defeated APPRENTICE. All right, so I slept
through it! Big deal!
Is there life after death? Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after
life! Ask not for whom the sword slashes; it slashes for thee.

SUMMER FACE-TO-FACE IN MINNEAPOLIS!
Our summer FTF will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, July 18-20, 2008. It will be
held at the Holiday Inn Select Minneapolis/St. Paul in Blomington, MN, just down the
street from the Mall of America, at 3 Appletree Square (952-854-9000). Rooms are only
$105.00 per night, 1-2 occupancy. There is a free 24-hour shuttle from the airport
and free shuttle service to the mall; free parking, free high-speed wireless internet
in all guestrooms. There is a large fitness center, jacuzzi, and indoor pool. The
rooms are blocked--ask for the "Reality Simulations" room block. There are tons of
