Notes from the arena champ.
A: It's the term for graduating one warrior of each style.
Q: What is a Round Robin?
Yes, I'm happy to announce that with my graduation, Team Technology has achieved
our first-ever round robin from a single team. It's been twenty years in the making
but we finally got there. Otto had stopped pursuing it for a while because he
thought he'd already achieved it. He was a bit embarrassed when we reminded him that
our cousin Rockwell is from Bonsur, not Kaltos. He set out in search of Aimed-Blow
warriors and several attempted but fell short. Most notable was our departed
teammate Red Mercury. He was one fight away from graduating when he was cut down by
one of Jorja's evil minions.
Undaunted, Otto resumed the search. They decided to hold open tryouts, and I
jumped at the chance. Initially they were not impressed with me. They reluctantly
gave me a shot, sure that I would die in a turn or two. Eyes were kept on the waiver
wire for anyone who looked better. But as it turns out, I found my groove and 22
turns later I find myself not only still alive, but invited to the Isle as the 20th
Lord Protector from Team Technology. It's a fantastic honor, and I'm overwhelmed. I
had been looking forward to a nice quiet retirement after graduation, but Otto tells
me I'm not done yet. Apparently he says I need to try my "hand" at my new favorite
weapon for a while. Not sure what he meant by that.

SPY REPORT
Much has changed in KALTOS since last I was here. Never fear, Olaf Modeen
adapts to many situations, as do all successful fighters. Ya gotta be quick on yer
feet! Keep your elbow off the table! Thrust! Block out the pain! U PAY I SLAY is
now ranked 4th with a 2-2-0 turn. MASSAGE PARLORS showed KALTOS what they were made
of as they fought with a vengeance to walk off with 3-1-0. What's with DIM THE
LIGHTS? It actually beat KALTOS' EMBEZZLING SCRIBE, and walked away with 20 more
points from the fight. Major screwup at THE MIDDLE WAY 5. NEWLIN PARRIT lost 12
points to IRON GIANT. Some new strategies, perhaps? Maybe NEWLIN PARRIT will
provide more easy wins... Try as he might, JUST LOSIN wasn't good enough at
persuading WATSON to step down from the Duelmaster's throne... Advice to fighters
with a 1 will--give up fighting!
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... How well I know the
feeling of being in the most avoided team! Don't fall out of practive, TECHNOLOGY!
The bums at ON THE FARM couldn't face the challenges from TECHNOLOGY! No excuse for
that! How well I know the feeling of being the most challenged warrior, TIK-TOK!
Don't make idle boasts, they may come back to haunt you. SEYMORE GUTTS of U PAY I
SLAY knows how to pick 'em. It challenged ISOBEL KLINE of THE MIDDLE WAY 5 who is up
by 21. Now was this a wise move? SEYMORE GUTTS perhaps got its just desserts,
seeing as it beat ISOBEL KLINE and ended up with 24 recognition points.
A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do. We all knew it had to happen sooner or later. A
warrior can't stick around with a 7-7-1, and NOLBER PRING easily took care of DOG.
Here's some advice: study your opponent, master many skills, fight dirty.
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here? Are
you as tired of reading this as I am of writing it? Actually, I guess I'm writing it
before you read it. Oh, well. Time for my medication, so I'll leave now. Practice,
