Notes from the arena champ.
Damned gadget! I never did like gadgets. You want to catch a fish, you get a
net. On some other world, I'd say, "get dynamite," but that won't work here. Damned
Magicians' Union! And Stump Jumper left the place a mess, all wet and muddy, with
bits of algae and water weeds. Bleh. I'll have to dry the place out before I can
cringe it properly.

SPY REPORT
It's me, The Unknown Spymaster here with my bag to give you the news on last
week's fights. BLACK AND BLUES is no joke as it posted a 3-0-0 week advancing from
4th place to 3rd place. Hey everybody, watch out for SWEET FREDDY, who flew up 20
points in the rankings after mashing ELVORA like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy.
Ya know, some days it doesn't pay to walk out on the sands. ELVORA was bested by
SWEET FREDDY and drops 15 points. Our battling duelmaster CHAS CRINGER has managed
to hold the title, fending off WEGERIN GREATBLADE's none too subtle advances. Better
luck next time, TRANSEL. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but an onion a day
keeps T.P.s at bay.
Here is other news that is of note. And hey, kiddies, those of you who didn't
avoid PSYCHO SQUAD, please raise you hand. Wow. Does TRANSEL really have that many
liars? Okay, so I may not be funny, but catch REIGN's act in the arena. Those
acrobats seem to be fairly deft at running from PSYCHO SQUAD.
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! Knowing when to use the right
tactics at the proper time is a very important step on the road to Duelmaster.
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in TRANSEL have no
sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. Okay, so I may not be the
world's best comedian, but then you guys aren't the world's best warriors. Its been
