TEAM SPOTLIGHT
99 Bottles Contest Standings -- Turn 16
Hogan's Heroes remain in the lead after turn 16, although they are still losing
ground. Postmaster took over the Duelmastership with Sgt. Shultz's defeat of Popcorn
Machine, but that was his one and only win which leaves him earning only 3 bottles
total. Manager's Dead Superior Forces moved within 6 bottles in second place by
earning 5 bottles with 3 wins and 2 stylemasters.
A very big move was made this turn by Alfredo Frothingslosh, who earned an
amazing contest high 8 bottles with a perfect 5-0-1 turn in addition to 2
stylemasters. Also notably, Alfredo managed to kill off Manager's high ranked lunger
Akara which should leave a big hole in Manager's stable. Alfredo's excellent turn
moves him all the way up into third place over Ichabod Frothingslosh's Call to
Thunder, who had a devastating one-bottle turn while losing both of his stylemasters.
Alfredo and Manager were not the only managers to put in good turns, however.
Ebenezer Frothingslosh's Flower children put in a 6-bottle showing with 4 wins, a
stylemaster, and a kill, which moves him into 5th place. Chazz Frothingslosh also
made a move scoring 5 bottles on the strength of his 3 wins and 2 stylemasters.

Greetings, Warriors of BONSUR. Allow this humble servant Novgorodny Vir to give
you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. DEAD SUPERIOR FORCES?
Who? WISH YOU WERE BEER is the top team these days, buddies! FLOWER CHILDREN after
a sorry 0-5-0 might want to consider abandoning the sands and taking up singing the
'Can't fight no more' blues! Nothing works for a team like victory (How's that for a
perceptive observation?) as VENGEANCE SEEKERS can attest... BATHTUB ARMADA posted a
nice gain, to come in 15th. Everybody loves a winner... SUGAR AND SPICE had cause
to celebrate, after NUTMEG got 19 points by beating ROCKWELL. Win some, lose some.
Speaking of which, NUTMEG was winsome, after beating ROCKWELL and seeing him lose 13
points. The arena was more crowded than usual this time, as WILL DUEL FOR FOOD faced
BONSUR's Duelmaster. Now I can't insult WILL DUEL FOR FOOD, as he has gloriously
dueled to the top. Oh great new Duelmaster!!! (Stop me if I lay it on too thick)
Word has it one team in BONSUR is using psychics to predict wins. They lead a
charmed life!
My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter.
But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights! Like the noble eagle soaring amongst
the mountaintops, so stand the warriors of DEAD SUPERIOR FORCES, alone and
unchallenged. Like a pup with its tail between its legs, SPARE-A-DIME SHIFT scurried
away from DEAD SUPERIOR FORCES. Oh, the shame! Is it charming personality?
Conversational abilities? Good oral hygiene? Whatever it is, BUBBA is the most
challenged warrior. Them's the breaks, KINCH. Expecting fair challenges from NINJAS
is evidently too much to ask. ISHINOMORI bested KINCH. The whole thing leaves a
bitter memory. As a confidence booster, BREW HA HA challenged SUGARBEET, down 21
points. Do you also slay vicious rodents in your spare time, BREW HA HA? BREW HA HA
overcame SUGARBEET with a point difference of 21. So this is what BONSUR calls a
duel. This will make an interesting tale.
Is there life after death? Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after
life! Q: What's a record like 16-12-0 get you? A: A free trip to the Dark Arena!

A note to everyone regarding manager names and manager lists -- If you're running a
team incognito, all you have to do is let me know and I won't put your name on any
manager lists. It has seemed though, that more people want their names listed, even
if they do not announce themselves, than the other way around. Also, I do maintain
the list more or less by hand and errors do creep in. You have but to say I've made

ANNOUNCING THE RETURN OF STORMCROWE SLAUGHTERHOUSE
The last Stormcrowe Slaughterhouse was one of the closest and most exciting
contests ever held in Alastari. Such an epic demands a sequel. Therefore, Master
Darque and Jack Wolfspider are pleased to announce the return of the Stormcrowe
Slaughterhouse.
Where? Stormcrowe DM 45 (slow). When? The Slaughterhouse returns on Turn 207,
due August 19. How can you get into the action? Bring a team (one per entrant
please) to arena 45 and announce your intention to join the contest in the Personals.
Rules: This time around the rules are very simple. Each warrior win against a
higher rated opponent (one or more points higher in the ratings) brings you 10
points, against even rated opponent 7 points, lower rated 5 points. Wins against
NPCs or by a warrior who downchallenges are worth 0 points. Points are doubled for
kills. All warriors in the arena whether participating in the Slaughterhouse or not
are fair game. Points are totaled weekly, and the contestant whose team has racked
up the most points at the end of 10 turns is declared Slaughterhouse Champion.
Prizes: To be announced; we're still talking with RSI about it. Figure it will
be something pretty good. But hey, who needs prizes when the honor of being
Slaughterhouse Champion awaits!
