99 BOTTLES CONTEST FINAL STANDINGS -- TURN 22
Ichabod Frothingslosh and his Call to Thunder stable wins the contest having
accumulated 100 bottles in 22 turns. And Ichabod certainly didn't "limp" across the
finish line; he went 5-0 with a stylemaster on his winning turn to finish it off.
Alfredo Frothingslosh, our first contest winner, managed second place with 96
bottles, finishing it up with a big 7-bottle turn including 4 wins, 2 stylemasters
and a kill. Manager's Dead superior Forces round out the top three with 94 bottles,
also finishing with a bang scoring 6 bottles with 3 wins, a stylemaster, a kill, and
the least popular warrior. Those 3 managers rather ran away with it in the later
turns with Manager finishing 14 bottles higher than the next highest contender.
However, Chazz Frothingslosh's Spare-a-dime Shift in fourth place also finished out
the contest in very strong fashion. Chazz moved all the way up from his eighth place
standing back on turn 15, and went 13-2 over the last three turns to post the best 3-
turn record over the entire contest. Good effort, Chazz!

Not surprisingly, the top three managers in the contest were also the top three in
total wins, with only 3 total wins separating them.
MOST KILLS: Alfredo Frothingslosh's Wish You Were Beer stable proved to be the most
bloodthirsty with 6 kills during the contest.
MOST STYLEMASTERS: Alfredo captured this category as well with 19 total
stylemasters. Although he quit early, Otto Frothingslosh's Undead Artists had 18
stylemasters, and presumably would have captured this category had he continued to
play. Alfredo only passed Otto on the very last turn.
MOST TURNS AS DUELMASTER: No one manager held the throne much longer than anyone
else. Postmaster's Hogan's Heroes win this category with 4 total turns as
Duelmaster.
MOST TURNS AS MOST POPULAR: Chazz Frothingslosh's Spare-a-dime Shift and Jekyll's
Indifference stables share the honor of being the crowd's favorite with 4 turns as
Most Popular.
MOST TURNS AS LEAST POPULAR: Astronomical had the dubious distinction of gathering
the most boos from the audience with 3 turns as Least Popular.
MOST TOURNAMENT VICTORS: Our contest winner Ichabod Frothingslosh wins this category
with 3 Tournament Victors.

mail soon. 99 bottles III is not currently in the planning stages, but we will make
the appropriate announcements with plenty of time to prepare when the time comes.

Good day, in BONSUR a quiet thief gets rich, but a quiet spymaster gets poor.
So bring me ale and harken to my tidbits of news. Now keep the taverns open late
tonight, for there are sorrows to drown for MORGAN'S BOYS, whose 0-3-0 this turn
dropped them by 7 into 20th. ASTRONOMICAL stable has parlayed this turn's 2-0-1 into
a 7 space move up the rankings. This brings them up to 10th place. Good work, guys!
The CHAOTIC LEGION guild has had a 3-1-0 turn and deserves to be watched in the
future. You never know where this kind of thing can lead. And let's see, CASTOR
fought COSMIC CHARLIE and gained 27 points and contributed to ASTRONOMICAL's 2-0-1.
ALEAN TENSLAYER has lost to RASTRODOMUS, falling 14 points, while helping make BLADES
OF ICE a 1-2-0 turn. Well done, BONSUR, the Duelmaster was this turn's most
challenged warrior. Perhaps TENACIOUS is not as thrilled, being challenged 4 times.
This turn TENACIOUS challenged JERICO in what was BONSUR's Title bout. The attempts
to dethrone the Duelmaster have failed, and TENACIOUS remains BONSUR's top warrior
for another turn. Can someone confirm a rumor for me? I hear the top team makes
their losing fighters do dishes at The Dripping Blade until they win. Maybe?
I tell you, a green quarterstaff lasts longer than a seasoned sapling. A basher
friend of mine assures me this is true. DEAD SUPERIOR FORCES has cause to stand
tall, as they were BONSUR's most avoided team. A smart manager knows this is a team
to beat. And avoiding DEAD SUPERIOR FORCES more than any other team we find FLOWER
CHILDREN. BONSUR, are we going to accept, or respect this sort of thing? Tsk, tsk,
tsk. CRIMSON BLUSH, does your manager know you're challenging down 19 points to
fight MIAMI MIA from BEACH BABES? I thought challenges were for warriors, not
cowards looking for easy wins. CRIMSON BLUSH bested MIAMI MIA, is nothing sacred? I
don't know about you, but RAISON D'ETRE challenging down 19 points to FLOWER
CHILDREN's GOOBATRON, is not really worthy of BATHTUB ARMADA. Well, will you look at
this, RAISON D'ETRE was beat by GOOBATRON, and BATHTUB ARMADA will have to explain
why they made such a challenge in the first place. In a brave attempt, ZOOM ZOOM
from ERRATA challenged up 21 points to fight TALLAHASSE TINA from the BEACH BABES
stable. ZOOM ZOOM perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he was overcame by
TALLAHASSE TINA and ended up with 42 recognition points.
A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once. Wise men know this to
be true. THRILLZ & KILLZ has lost COSMIC CHARLIE to the arena in the sky, but they
don't seem to be worried. What do you expect from 13-15-0? Is it really true that
BONSUR has more dishwashers per capita that fighters? Just thought I'd ask...

Citizens of Ghea (only the ignorant fail to note Lirith Kai is not in Alastari),
no new day is rising, but the sun is setting on just another beautiful evening.
While you were sleeping, an irksome rabble has entered the always fair Aruak City.
Of course they fought alongside our warriors, most not so treasured, as all
gladiators do. They drank with themselves, and slept with themselves. Whether they
had masks, who cares.
Warriors, don't be afraid. For years Aruak has been one of the safest cities in
Ghea, and that custom has been continually cultivated, and will continue to be by
those who have called it home for years and those who live, fight, and die by the
same ethics. There is no contest, nor has there ever needed to be one for many
years. A conflict of personalities has arisen, and the city has been 'invaded' by
pests.
Any rules that are annouced will be purely for the joy of the lemmings' own
little world. Those who are being targeted have no interest in participating except
to defend the integrity of an arena that is different from others. Whether you
choose to come to Aruak, do it for your own reasons, not theirs.
Competing in Aruak City has never been for the faint of heart or the weak willed.
Combat is combat, wherever you go. Blood will flow as always, and now many innocents
will be caught in the middle, but those who defend Aruak's traditions never target
those who bring respect of Aruaki customs with them to our home.
So ignore the private ranting announcement brought by the stuporous
Frothingsloshers. If you choose Aruak City, do not choose it for an unsanctioned and
bogus 'contest', choose it for the tradition. Choose it because Aruak is different.

An Announcement Concerning the Brotherhood of the Blade Alliance:
I have chosen to withdraw my membership from the Brotherhood of the Blade
alliance. The years I have spent in the alliance have been the best of my DM career.
I leave the alliance with many great friends and will always remain close to my
former brethren.
The Brotherhood of the Blade will not skip a beat without my membership. It
remains in very capable hands and its roster is among the strongest in the game.
With the return on some of its founding members to DM, I know the BOB will continue
to grow in strength and prestige in the years to come. -- The Sandman
