DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Although I am proud to be the Duelmaster of Bonsur, I did not expect or wish to hold
this position so quickly. There will be no celebration of the honor this turn. This
spring tournament was truly a tournament of fools for the Sentinels stable. First,
we lost our Duelmaster, Ozymandius. He was one win short of graduation and
immortality. If I know Nomad, he will probably get his shot at a future dead
tournament, but still, the loss is staggering. His works had been progressing so
nicely....
Losing Ozy was not enough. No, we also had a nice young lady named Catalyst
whose career turned out to be very brief as well. It turned out to be a very rough
tournament.
In turn I would like to welcome the two newest members of the squad.
Neanderthal has been here for a couple of turns already. He is excited to be out of
the cave and in the arena, although he seems to get a bit grumpy whenever the
weapons-master says, "come on, it's so easy a caveman could do it...." Arriving this
turn will be Ogresmasher. We look forward to seeing what these two young men can
bring to the table.

SPY REPORT
You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to BONSUR once again! Biff! Pow! BONSUR watched with glee as
SENTINELS got knocked off top spot by WASTELAND II! Phhbltt! Too much drinking and
too little dodging gave WESTNMAFIA a 0-0-0! I got a good laugh out of it! What's
with DEBBIE? He actually beat BRUTAL LEGION's CRACK, and walked away with 15 more
points from the fight. Major screwup at BEACH BABES. LONG BEACH LILA lost 13 points
to BABY JESUS. Some new strategies, perhaps? Maybe LONG BEACH LILA will provide
more easy wins... SANDY SHORE was reminded on the sands why HUNTSMAN is Duelmaster.
I suppose you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your fellow fighters?
Tough!
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... How well I know the
feeling of being in the most avoided team! Don't fall out of practive, WESTNMAFIA!
In my day, no team with a 20-19-1 would scare me off! What's the problem, SENTINELS?
What do people see in ERASMUS? His 8-6-0? SENTINELS ain't talkin', but he's got 55
points. COUNT SMACKULA of WASTELAND II knows how to pick 'em. He challenged ERASMUS
of SENTINELS who is up by 20. Now was this a wise move? COUNT SMACKULA perhaps got
his just desserts, seeing as he was defeated by ERASMUS and ended up with 33
recognition points. I hate going to the effort of writing about the kind of fights
that COVER YOUR MOUTH gets in. It fights people like BEACH BETTY, 9 points below. I
thought COVER YOUR MOUTH showed great skill and promise when it subdued BEACH BETTY.
All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
There have been some calls to lengthen the time limit. Do you want the fighters
to walk away, or not? So BRUTAL LEGION sent FLAIL to the Dark Arena. Big deal.
Plenty more fighters where FLAIL came from. Dime a dozen... Now, Spyreporters...
Some people are wondering why CHURCH LADIES sent LORRIE (3-1-0) to the Dark Arena.
Just be glad you're not on their team. We all knew it had to happen sooner or later.
A warrior can't stick around with a 7-11-1, and SLAMMER easily took care of GALVESTON
GAL. Many a warrior has met his fate in a hungover stupor. You young rapscallions,
take note!
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here? The
