Sam leaned over, hands on his knees, to watch the troll drawing in the dust.
The fox crept closer and watched, also. The style of the drawing suggested that it
was a map, but it resembled no map Sam had ever seen before. The fox stretched out a
paw, placed it on one part of the drawing, and barked sharply. The troll rumbled and
re-drew that part.
Sam shook his head sharply. Obviously, the fox was going to accept this
message. But somewhere that a troll wanted to send--that had to be dangerous. He,
Surfer Sam, was responsible for these foxes. They trusted him. He would have to go
along and make sure the fox was protected.
Which meant he wouldn't be here to keep an eye on his Babes! He straightened
up. "I'll be right back," he told the fox. "Don't leave without me."

Notes from the arena champ.
And I am back again after yet another match-up with Nora. I can't really
complain, I get a win and then she makes public comments about how strong I am. Then
we go back to the Cabana. Truly, there is very little to complain about in that
pattern. It does look like a couple of the other Babes may be trying to get in on
some title action next turn. I guess we will see. Hopefully I will receive my
invite to the Isle after this next turn if all goes well, so perhaps the Babes will
be free of me soon.
Speaking of Babes...where did they all come from?! The Beach Babes have been a
fixture in Bonsur for many years. Then we got the Church Ladies. I never did
understand why they would want to fight in a bloody ol' arena, but hey, that is there
call and we are happy for the competition. Now the Bonsur Babes that rock show up.
Throw in the occasional Babe like Chios on a team of guys and 75% of the warriors
that took the field last turn were ladies. This is a great arena in which to be
Duelmaster!

SPY REPORT
It's me, The Unknown Spymaster here with my bag to give you the news on last
week's fights. Coming up with a solid 0-0-0 outing, BATHTUB ARMADA has advanced 3
places in the rankings. It looks like the guys(?) at AMEN! had a good week as they
went 3-1-0 to put them in 6th place. I guess steroids help! Hey everybody, watch
out for CHEEZY CREAZY, who flew up 24 points in the rankings after mashing HEFTY
HANNAH BABE like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. Ya know, some days it doesn't
pay to walk out on the sands. LONG BEACH LILA was subdued by ERASMUS and drops 17
points. In front of all the crowds, BARTEZ took the Duelmaster's crown for his own.
I give the bum two weeks. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but an onion a day
keeps T.P.s at bay.
But enough of that bunch, let's get on to the wimps who like to avoid battle!

NEANDERTHAL you ask, with 58 points and a 12-10-0 record. Ooh, the tales I could
tell! In a touching display by a 'touched' warrior, PIRES went after PENSACOLITA,
who was higher by 24 points. Well, when the dust settled, PIRES subdued PENSACOLITA.
Remember that an arena is not always a safe place to be, but it is one of the
most interesting, though! Knowing when to use the right tactics at the proper time
is a very important step on the road to Duelmaster.
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in BONSUR have no
sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. C'mon, Leadfoot, let's make some
tracks. And remember, you can pick your friends and you can pick your--(loud boos),
