DUELMASTER'S COLUMN Notes from the arena champ. I never expected to claim the throne at this age. I'm not even at double digits in wins, yet here I am. I have a mere 71 PP, yet here I am. It is a surprise, yet a very pleasant one. L'Dy, I had written a long AD for last turn explaining why I would be bloodfeuding you once more, but it seems it got lost. As a team we do not usually bloodfeud more than once. I defeated you several turns ago and thus Pelargir was avenged. Blago was allowed to bloodfeud simply because it was a different warrior and the outcome was very uncertain. It was just another challenge, and didn't seem to be unfair. Which brings me to my second bloodfeud. It was simply strategy. The arena had a veteran Dm that was graduating. This presented me with the opportunity of a vacant throne. A throne for which I, through some strange will of the gods, was the highest ranked challenger. It would be mine for the taking if only I could win. And you were the second ranked challenger for that title. Claiming the title would be easy if I simply defeated you once more. When you add in the enormous experience advantage Saltilla would have had, I also had a very strong urge to avoid matching up with the outgoing Duelmaster. When you put those factors together, the choice was easy. So here I am on the throne that many of my guildmates have held before me. I can only hope to bring honor to this seat and to my guild. -- Cajetan, Duelmaster of Bonsur SPY REPORT So why do I have this bag over my head? Because I am The Unknown Spymaster and I'm going to give you a spy report!. It looks like the guys(?) at REAVERS had a good week as they went 5-0-1 to put them in 3rd place. I guess steroids help! Hey everybody, watch out for REDONDO RHONDA, who flew up 14 points in the rankings after mashing PERSISTENT BEGGAR like a melon. Keep your eye on this gal. And falling like a basher in the top ten was BARILOCHE, who dropped 7 points after a disappointing (to say the least) bout with L'DY DEATHSTRIKE. Our Duelmaster has lost, folks, lost to KUNG-FU MASTER, BUT CAJETAN is still the Duelmaster because he has the most recognition points! 4 out of 5 gladiators surveyed protect the body, so try and avoid aiming at that location. But enough of that bunch, let's get on to the wimps who like to avoid battle! Did you hear that REAVERS was most avoided team this week? Well, knowing the personal hygiene of REAVERS' warriors, I'm not surprised! And you guys like to boo me? Well, unsling your rasberries, cause SENTINELS beats feet every time REAVERS smiles at them. Try farming, eh? Well just about everybody wants a piece of L'DY DEATHSTRIKE, who was this week's most challenged warrior. Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). Ask not the elves for counsel, for they will say both yes and no. Silly buggers, eh? I think I had better cut this one short. It's been nice chatting to those of you whom I have not offended yet. Well, there goes another Spy Report. Good luck in next week's fights. Its been fun, and I'm sure you enjoyed it (boos). Now that I've got you worked up for Snide Clemens, I'll be leaving-- The Unknown Spymaster DUELMASTER W L K POINTS TEAM NAME CAJETAN 6036 9 4 1 65 SENTINELS (122) CHALLENGER ADEPTS W L K POINTS TEAM NAME QUEENIE 6034 11 7 0 63 BEACH BABES (309) L'DY DEATHSTRIKE 4754 6 6 2 60 REAVERS (392) ADEPTS W L K POINTS TEAM NAME BLAGO THE AXE 6027 10 10 0 50 SENTINELS (122) SCRAMBLER 4735 7 5 1 44 REAVERS (392) WHIPLASH 6058 3 2 1 37 SERPENTS HOLD (565) CHALLENGER INITIATES W L K POINTS TEAM NAME BARILOCHE 6050 5 2 0 33 SENTINELS (122) GATEWAY 6051 3 3 2 30 REAVERS (392) SCALP-HUNTR 4755 4 6 0 29 REAVERS (392) HARPOON 4796 4 4 0 24 REAVERS (392) CHALLENGER INITIATES W L K POINTS TEAM NAME -SONYA 6055 2 2 1 24 SERPENTS HOLD (565) INITIATES W L K POINTS TEAM NAME SARAH SUNDANCE 6038 5 8 0 23 BEACH BABES (309) CHANCE 6057 3 2 1 19 SERPENTS HOLD (565) ETUGEN KHAN 6043 3 5 0 14 SENTINELS (122) REDONDO RHONDA 6066 1 0 0 14 BEACH BABES (309) -REAPER 6056 1 3 0 10 SERPENTS HOLD (565) LUAU LILA 6065 1 0 0 8 BEACH BABES (309) KONA KATE 6064 1 0 0 8 BEACH BABES (309) '-' denotes a warrior who did not fight this turn.
