Return of Bonsur Babes Rock
Hammer sifted through an assortment of past petitions that had been received
during his sojourn at the Red Dragon Inn. Curiously, the veteran manager had somehow
preserved the parchments that his old friend Nomad had sent his way from time to
time. There was always a request for Hammer to return to Bonsur (Arena 7) with his
dormant stable of ditzy lady warriors who were now all but forgotten by even Hammer
himself. Not even knowing who remained in his Bonsur Arena stable, Hammer made a
surprising decision to reactivate his ladies to honor the request of his friend
Nomad.
Hammer smiled as he dispatched a hasty message to the Gladiatorial Commission to
reinstate his Bonsur Babes Rock stable to once again dance upon the Arena Seven
sands!

DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Sometimes, in the course of gladiatorial events, it becomes necessary for a
Duelmaster to miss a column. Or two. When such an event occurs a decent respect for
the interests of his fellow gladiators requires that the Duelmaster explain why he
missed those columns.
And I would. If I could. I was just busy. Nomad had us all running around on
errands and such, doing this and that. You know, Sentinel stuff. The first week I
even had a column written. In fact, I thought I had submitted it, but given all the
stuff going on I must have neglected to actually turn it in. And it was a good
column too. But it didn't get in. The second turn I didn't even manage to get
anything on paper, nothing at all.
And that is simply not acceptable. If we are going to be out there fighting on
the sands, we should at least do our duty, or I should. And so here is your column,
with an apology for the missed columns and a promise of future ones. Of course, if I
hold the throne again next turn the odds will actually be pretty long that I get a
column done for that turn. But I do promise to try. And in the mean time, I offer
a shout out to my guildmates for a sweet 5-0 run last turn. Well done!
Good dueling!
-- Cajetan, Duelmaster of Bonsur
SPY REPORT
The sages err'd not in their foretelling of a god descending upon BONSUR, for I,
Novgorodny Vir, have returned! Practice pays for GATEWAY, who pummelled BONSUR BUNNY
BABE, to pocket 27 points. A certain someone should cut down on the drinking and
practice more, after losing 25 points to GATEWAY. (Discrete enough, BONSUR BUNNY
BABE?) SCRAMBLER found out that BONSUR isn't a democracy. You've gotta be the best
to be Duelmaster here! Word has it one team in BONSUR is taking speech lessons to
try to bore their opponent to death. I'll bet it works.
A Zenmaster once told me, 'Does not the spinning wheel turn? And do not the
little birds cry out?' Any ideas? To quell some nasty rumors, the guys in CHURCH
LADIES are not carrying any incurable diseases. No need to avoid 'em. The warriors
of CHURCH LADIES found their efforts at combat frustrated as SENTINELS apparently had
more important things to do than fight. Everyone is famous for fifteen minutes, and
KONA KATE is it right now. Most challenged warrior. Isn't BEACH BABES proud!
Is there life after death? Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after
life! Questions are being raised about the disposing of severed body parts in the
arena. A certain tavern in BONSUR would I avoid!
Do not think spyreporting in BONSUR is the highlight of my life. My fingers
tire and I fear my incessant prattling may cause unfair judgement upon my impeccable
character. Like a mixed metaphor, and an overtaxed simile, I now bid BONSUR
farewell-- Novgorodny Vir

This works very well, and I thank you form, well, at least half-way down my
heart. -- the Editor
P.S. Seriously, your efforts to find a format that works have been much
appreciated.
Rhonda -- And to make matters even more difficult for you, it appears that I get to
keep the silver sword, at least for a little while. -- Orsinius
I wouldn't have expected a silver sword to hold an edge well. -- Weaponsmaster

P.S. Unless it's magical.
Gateway -- And so before the 4 turns expire, Zigmund has been avenged. It would seem
that you could not keep chopping away long enough. Still, while it is nice to get
the business of the bloodfeud over, we would prefer to have Zigmund back. -- Blago

Scalp Huntr -- At some point, aren't you supposed to actually riposte? Just a
thought. -- Etugen Khan
Riposting is for sissies. -- Brobdig the Nabian, Mountain Troll
Lila -- Ahhh, but it was a fine attempt. Worthy of a ladies' night out to discuss
the fight and laugh at these boys who call themselves gladiators! -- Bariloche
Harpoon -- You have no finesse at all. I suppose you've been practicing on seals or
something. -- Queenie
Whoa! That Captured Pirate is tricky! -- Sarah Sundance
Bariloche -- You did too laugh! I distinctly heard you. I heard you distinctly.
Whatever. I'll even go so far as to admit that from *your* point of view, it was
amusing, but it was *not at all* funny from mine. Remember that when you come
