Notes from the arena champ.
I don't think it is a surprise that I again sit on this throne. There should be
no Royal surprises. It is a birthright. It is my due. I shall leave you with one
of my most famous moments....

Like the magnificent Sun, rising upon the Dawn and exiling the Night for a Day,
I, Novgorodny Vir, return once again! He who laughs last didn't get the joke.
Speaking of laughing at jokes, observe YAKUZA. Last week they got 0-0-0 to drop by
4! Nothing works for a team like victory (How's that for a perceptive observation?)
as Z GLADIATORZ can attest... Say what you will about blind luck and dirty fighting,
but BLOOD RITES will tell you 24-15-2 is nothing to laugh at... Practice pays for
DWARF FIRE HAMMER, who pummelled HUSK, to pocket 17 points. HUSK certainly had a
baffled expression on hers face, after losing to DWARF FIRE HAMMER and losing 15
points in the process! Well, Duelmaster LADY MACBETH Bloodfeuded LEVIATHAN's
MARSHMALLOW. Is a 19-6-0 good enough? Those who hoped for a new Duelmaster were
disappointed by MARSHMALLOW, of LEVIATHAN, who despite a 8-14-2 couldn't overcome
ARKERS' Number 1. Word has it one team in ARKERS is taking speech lessons to try to
bore their opponent to death. I'll bet it works.
And how sociable are ARKERS' warriors? Come, let us see. Like a horde of
jackals fleeing from the lion, so did the "warriors" in ARKERS avoid ACID FIRE
HAMMERZ. As a woman of good breeding scorns the "warriors" of SMITHSONIAN, so did
that sorry team shy from ACID FIRE HAMMERZ Everyone is famous for fifteen minutes,
and FEORDIS INK is it right now. Most challenged warrior. Isn't MIDDLE WAY 11
proud! FEORDIS INK found himself challenged by a warrior 23 below: NYTHIA. NYTHIA
of PENUMBRAL MISTS kept hers wits as she overcame FEORDIS INK.
Ah, the duel! The roar of the oppenent, the smell of the crowd! Ponder the
possibilities, ARKERS: LA PENTARCHIE has allowed TIMBER WALKER of NORTHERN BADLANDS
to kill MORE MOORE unchallenged! Is there no honour left??? Justice was served as
LADY MACBETH fought MARSHMALLOW in bloodfeud. Well done, SMITHSONIAN! Oh hard!
that to strike a flame, the match itself must needs be wasting!

Our next summer FTF will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, July 27-29, 2007. It will be
held at the Sheraton Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, on 3405 Lenox Road NE (404-261-9250).
Room rates are $95.00 per night, 1-4 occupancy. There is a free shuttle from the
MARTA station two blocks away and free parking, high speed internet (for extra charge),
