Notes from the arena champ.
Ahhh... being Duelmaster is nice. I think I was even being quite gentlemanly by
not killing anyone to get here. Maybe, I'm going soft, but most likely, not.
Train hard and fight well and the rest of you may make it here some day.
And for those of you interested... I started out as 9-7-15-14-11-17-11, I ended
up as 9-9-15-15-12-17-12. Plus, I got the first hit in, for all but two of my
fights.
Now, Eldarran and I are off to Crysalis. Fight well!

SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly ARKERS games. Did only my eyes note the 4-1-0 record
which WEIRD ALCHEMY managed to post this round? I don't doubt that such a record
will draw challengers! POTTER SANDS caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial
commission as he skillfully bested MIYOMOTO and was awarded 23 points in recognition.
In one of the week's more notable duels, ZORK put down IMERTA LOEL, causing her to
lose 18 points of recognition in the process. As is fitting, the most sought after
warrior on the challenge boards this week was none other than Duelmaster XARGOTH
himself. Who here was not present for the title fight this week as GLOBULIZER boldly
TV challenged XARGOTH in order to strive for the Duelmasters honors? This time
victory fell to the grasp of the usurper. All hail GLOBULIZER, Duelmaster of ARKERS!
No confirmation, but my sources claim that the top team has gained their position
using magical aids. Charmed weapons perhaps?
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. My inside sources tell me that the
team to beat in ARKERS these days is THE CHOSEN. At least, most blades in town are
looking to avoid them. If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard
pressed to find any of STEEL PROPHETS last week. Busy avoiding THE CHOSEN? For some
warriors honor is not important--only empty victory. See, gladiators, how RIA THE
CARESSER of THE CHOSEN challenged down 17 points to NARRISA. Few would not have
guessed the outcome of the bout as NARRISA was overcame by RIA THE CARESSER. Is this
what passes for courage in ARKERS?
Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser? Warriors, may this counselor stand
ready at your right hand forever! Perhaps even the strong cannot escape the vagaries
of this world. This week arena veteran RADICULON was slain, despite a 9-6-0 record.
Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers the miserable with fortune but sets enemies
against the victorious. Remember this!
