SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of ARKERS! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp Eyes,
Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team GHOSTWALKERS 2 was
unseated this week as Z GLADIATORZ moved up from 9th ranking to take the top spot
with a 4-0-0 record for the round. There were bitter words at GHOSTWALKERS 2's
guildhouse after a 2-3-0 showing this week which dropped the stable into 6th. Dark
Arena anyone? Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the corner! Witness
how this week Z GLADIATORZ went 4-0-0 to move up 8 in the rankings. Did only my eyes
note the 3-0-0 record which SMITHSONIAN managed to post this round? I don't doubt
that such a record will draw challengers! ETON THE STALWART caught the eye of many
in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested UGLY KIDD JOE and was awarded
20 points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, ZANY put down
ARIXIA, causing her to lose 17 points of recognition in the process. The city has
turned out in honor of YRAH BANEWRECKER, for with his arena victory he may now lay
claim to the highest position in the city! No confirmation, but my sources claim
that the top team has gained their position using magical aids. Charmed weapons
perhaps?
Many and various are the arts of battle. In ARKERS "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language! I saw one fighter that warriors avoided when
this week's challenge seeking began. SMITHSONIAN is feared. This much I can say.
Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it was that spent the better part
of last week avoiding SMITHSONIAN. Indeed it was BLOODY HAND CLAN. Loose talk at
the arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters
are after THE GYPSY. Watch your back! I cannot but express pride for the
fearlessness of WAY JOURNER who cast caution to the winds and challenged PARIS TROUT,
a fighter 29 points higher. Truth to tell, WAY JOURNER did not come out of the fight
a winner, but he managed to capture much attention, gaining 3 in recognition. A
match that raised a few eyebrows at the games this week, it seems that HEDGEROW
posted a challenge against the more highly recognized STEEL. The results, you ask?
Well, the firebrand HEDGEROW was subdued by STEEL. Remember warriors, this is the
discipline of steel. I can not but mention with disdain the name of GUTSAG BAKWORT
who this week posted a challenge to a warrior a full 12 points below in the rankings.
I thought GUTSAG BAKWORT showed great skill and promise when he beat JHERI BLOOMERS.
All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. The warrior's path is harsh. For
mediocrity there is but one reward--death. This past week WINTER STEEL, at 9-7-4,
departed ARKERS forever. My hearty congratulations DEFENSIVE LEE, for thy revenge
upon BARON VON SMASH, slayer of thy fallen comrade. Next time he will know better,
eh? Dark alleys may hide both secrets and assassins. In the arena there is only the
brightness of steel. Keep vigil always!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in ARKERS. Nice atmosphere you have here! Ahh, but I can hear the spires of
a far off city calling to me. I must away! Till next we meet remember: a fool
flies into a rage quickly and often. The wise are angered by the same thing only
