DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Praise be to Mantor the Bright! After four straight turns of losses, and
falling from having the most points in the challenger champions to being
securely stuck in the champions class, I have finally won my place in the
title seat. It obvious that Mantor smiled upon me for my diligence and piety.
I pray for the strength to hold this title for as long as possible. That is
if it is his will.
Reaper, you were a fine opponent. I understand why you are the top of your
style. I hope that we both can see each other on the Isle. I pity those that
have to deal with you in the Champion class. They are in for some severe
losses until you graduate to the Isle.
I would like to offer a moment of silence for my fallen sister in combat,
Winter Steel.
Do not become too cocky, Delayed. You are both lucky and unlucky in the same
breath. You were lucky enough to kill Winter, you were unlucky because she is
on the Chosen. Yes. You were lucky. Winter made the top 10 for her skill
last turn. Where were you? Hiding behind plate and shield does not earn you
the love of the spectators. You now have the anger of Mantor's chosen to deal
with. At this time, Longshot has not decided which of us will avenge her
death. But you are in for four turns of pain that you have never experienced.
That is if you are honourable enough to show your face on the sands.
As for whom I will challenge, I have not decided. I could go after Delayed
(easy win) or I could take a pick from some of the other Challenger Champions.
I have orcs, sheets, grimm dwarves, or ugly kids to pick from. I can't say
that I care for the ugly kid though. Until next time.

SPY REPORT
If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
ARKERS brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. Later days, Z GLADIATORZ, since
BLOODY HAND CLAN took top team from you this turn, you guys are old news. Now keep
the taverns open late tonight, for there are sorrows to drown for FIGHTING IRISH,
whose 0-0-0 this turn dropped them by 9 into 13th. Ha! HEATHEN HORDE turned their
3-1-0 turn into a 6th place rank in the listings this turn. Any better than this,
and you get put on hit lists. Now let's all watch SMITHSONIAN's heads swell from
their 3-1-0 this turn. Haa ha ha ha! Big shots, big talk, big deal. Of course,
we're all terribly impressed to see GREAT LEVELING win a fight and gain 21 points,
terribly. Tsk, tsk, DEFENSIVE LEE beat ZIRCONIUM and ZIRCONIUM lost 16 points.
You're breakin' my heart. PLYMOUTH ROCK challenged ARKERS' Duelmaster for a shot at
the throne. And it's out with the old, in with the new, as PLYMOUTH ROCK takes the
Title and last week's bar tab from the old Duelmaster. Heh, heh. Kickbacks and
bribes, kickbacks and bribes, how else do you think some of these guys win their
fights? Skill? Ha!
He who fights and runs away will live to fight another day, the coward. What's
the big D? HOYT FOUNDATION was the most avoided team? Bunch of lily livered...
grumble... mumble... curse... And who led the way in this mass act of cowardice?
Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was SERIOUS LEE. Ha ha ha ha! Ooh, I'm
frightfully impressed, ETON THE STALWART was this turn's most challenged warrior.
Watch that ego swell, sports fans. I guess I can give a little credit to CORRECT
CHANGE of BB PUBLIC TRANSIT for challenging up by 23 to PARIS TROUT. CORRECT CHANGE
lost to get 32 points of recognition.
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. We're all going to die in the end, so why
worry if the fate catches up with you sooner that later?
There's got to be a better place in ARKERS to get a drink than The Dripping
Blade! Any suggestions? Phlllt! Just had to do that before I leave the fine city
