DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Hail and well met and Mantor be praised. I am honoured to sit here and hold the
title of the city's champion. I cannot remember if it is my second or third time
holding the title. It seems that the scribe responsible for that task was negligent
and we are missing records for turns 381-405. That is a huge gap of arena history
missing. It is sad that it happened.
Some of you may have wondered what happened to the Chosen. Well, we were off on a
pilgrimage. We travelled through the wilderness and lived out in the elements to
harden our bodies and improve our connection with Mantor. No food was brought nor
shelter. Simple garb of leather and our weapons were all we used. When we returned we
all felt more focused. I hope our connection with Mantor the Bright will continue and
we in turn continue to improve our martial abilities.
There are those that have left while we were away. We salute you, Plymouth Rock
and the Gypsy. You have earned your place at the isle. You were both formidable
opponents and the Lady Greywand should be proud to have you as her soldiers.
My challenge this turn will be simple. Cutter Crites and Boston Tea Party shall
be my challenges. Both are extremely proficient warriors and both are on their way to
the Isle. To quite honest, I am more worried about Boston Tea Party. I still remember
him (4-0-1) successfully defending against a blood feud challenge from Dingo McGee
(18-17-1, Steel Prophets) back on turn-398. All of our jaws were on the floor and
Longshot wanted desperately to ask about his make up in case he lucked up and got a
similar warrior. 4-0-1 and he took down an 18-17-1 warrior! I still can't believe that
happened. But then again, the way things work, I'll just be matched up with Standing
Room Only or Defensive Lee despite avoiding them.Until next time.All praise to Mantor.

Well, what are you looking at, ARKERS? Ain't you never seen Snide Clemens
before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. Later days, SMITHSONIAN, since THE
CHOSEN took top team from you this turn, you guys are old news. BLOODY HAND CLAN
turned their 4-1-0 turn into a 4th place rank in the listings this turn. Any better
than this, and you get put on hit lists. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to
see SHAWNDO win a fight and gain 16 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, SHAWNDO beat BEETLE
and BEETLE lost 13 points. You're breakin' my heart. Looks like ARKERS has some
guts at least, ETON THE STALWART the Duelmaster was this turn's most-challenged
warrior. SITTING BULL challenged ARKERS' Duelmaster for a shot at the throne. And
it's out with the old, in with the new, as SITTING BULL takes the Title and last
week's bar tab from the old Duelmaster. Heh, heh. I'm not in a very good mood
today, but why am I telling you this? You want to know what's new, don't you,
ARKERS?
Well, let's take a look at some more misdeeds of you miserable sword-boys. HOYT
FOUNDATION, I suppose you'll be glad to know you were this turn's most avoided team.
Care to know who is the most afraid of you? And who led the way in this mass act of
cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was THE CHOSEN. Ha ha ha ha!
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. We're all going to die in the end, so why
worry if the fate catches up with you sooner that later?
What does the ARKERS arena have in common with the inns? It's just as
