                                      SPY REPORT

Well, what are you looking at, ZUKAL? Ain't you never seen Snide Clemens
before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. Later days, THE MONGOLOIDS, since
SOLITAIRE took top team from you this turn, you guys are old news. SOLITAIRE turned
their 2-0-0 turn into a 1st place rank in the listings this turn. Any better than
this, and you get put on hit lists. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see
CAVE DWELLER win a fight and gain 14 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, CAVE DWELLER beat
TRUE BLUE and TRUE BLUE lost 10 points. You're breakin' my heart. And if variety is
the spice of life, ZUKAL may be getting bland, as DJESEE stays top dog in the city.
Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and bribes, how else do you think some of these guys
win their fights? Skill? Ha!
Well, let's take a look at some more misdeeds of you miserable sword-boys.
What's the big D? THE MONGOLOIDS was the most avoided team? Bunch of lily
livered... grumble... mumble... curse... And who led the way in this mass act of
cowardice? Let's see, well, whatcha know? It was SOLITAIRE. Ha ha ha ha! TRUE
BLUE was challenged more times this turn than the Duelmaster. Now was the DM
insulted or feared? Heh, heh.
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. We're all going to die in the end, so why
worry if the fate catches up with you sooner that later?
There's got to be a better place in ZUKAL to get a drink than The Blue Boar Inn!
Any suggestions? Well, I've had enough of this drivel, and I'm sure you have too.
Off like a dirty shirt of padded leather. Glad to see the back of this place-- Snide
Clemens

Cave Dweller -- This is what happens when you live alone all the time, not to mention
in caves. Although, of course, as a dwarf you wouldn't find the cave life as
disturbing as, for instance, I might. But still, you lose perspective. How can you
help it? For perspective, you need the long view, and you can't get a long view in a
cave. At least, not any cave around here. There may be big distances, but you can't
SEE a long way, because they're twisty, dark, narrow, unpleasant holes in the ground.
-- True Blue
P.S. You're lucky that the light of day, coming so unexpectedly, didn't confuse to
the extent that you ended up in the Dark Arena! I've heard tales....

Wilyum -- Beating you would have been like taking candy from a baby, easy, but
unkind. I couldn't do it. Despite all rumors to the contrary, I am generally a nice
guy. -- Zulor
P.S. Pay no attention to my low rating in trustworthiness. I really am a nice guy.
P.P.S. Really.

Me-Ouch -- You cats are getting to be a menace. It seems as though every time an
honest, law-abiding rodent, or as it might be, a shrew, turns around, there's a cat
waiting to pounce. Is this an exemplar of interspecies amity? I don't think so! --
Blue Shrew
P.S. Not that you'll hear my advice. Cats are notorious for their egotism and
convictions of their own superiority (all false) and right to all privileges. Bah.

The Cult Member was probably just having a bad day. And even so, he was probably
lucky. What if his deity (doubtless a minor one, or it wouldn't be called a cult)
had decided that this was his (the member's) day to die? I might have turned out to
be the innocent agent of a bloody sacrifice, that's what, and I would NOT have liked
that at ALL. -- Ultorino

Djeree -- I knew somebody with a name like that once. Or sort of like it. But she
was female. Hmm, maybe there wasn't a dee in it. An odd woman, in her way. -- Blue
Blotto

A few notes about e-mailed personals:

You may submit personal ads, columns, spotlights, etc. electronically, either via e-
mail to ads at reality dot com (which doesn't need any more spam, thank you) or on
the web at http://www.reality.com/duel2/modules.php?name=Ads. When you submit
something, you should get back a receipt from HAL at RSI. If you do NOT get a
receipt, your ads may have gone astray (not all e-mail makes it to its destination
any more than all snail mail does). If you DO get a receipt, it should, in the body
of the message, tell you what arena your stuff was filed in. Check your receipt to
make sure your submission made it to the intended destination. Also check to see
that everything you sent made it to the same place. Sometimes HAL, who is rather
simple-minded in some ways, will send half your stuff to another arena if the name
or number of that arena shows up at the beginning of a line. So if the word Ti
appears at the beginning of a line halfway through your ads, all the ads after that
may end up in Ti, which is closed and doesn't need ads. As a side note, sometimes
things move slowly, so don't wait until the last minute to send your ads and all.
If they get held up along the way, they may not show up until next turn. Happy
writing! -- Ed.

We of the Desolate Empire Alliance want to welcome two managers to our fold. Kon of

To all those lookin' for some easy pickins: I, Elfwine, manager of The Shallowship,
the most feared team in all of Jhelum, invite all who seek wide open spaces for pubs
and other such establishments of limited debauchery, to visit this deserted city and
help me clear up some of the dust. I'm just about ready to have my guys face off
against each other to get some new action. Guess I'd better join a tournament or
something...hmmmm, there's a thought.
