I'm surprised I was sufficiently "together" to defeat Nahtalee, a competent woman, what with all the chasing around over the rooftops with Ultorino last month. Exhausting work, and ultimately inconclusive: I did manage to throw him off a roof, but an awning broke his fall and he survived it. Drat. Or, as they say, foiled again. But if he keeps hanging out with dubious characters and making forays into Bent Lane, the odds will catch up with him. Ha! Blue Blotto SPY REPORT Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the clash and bustle of the weekly ZUKAL games. Former top team BLUE MOON was unseated this week as THE MONGOLOIDS moved up from 2nd ranking to take the top spot with a 2-2-0 record for the round. ULTORINO caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested WILYUM and was awarded 12 points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, ULTORINO put down WILYUM, causing him to lose 11 points of recognition in the process. This time victory fell to the grasp of the usurper. All hail NAHTALEE, Duelmaster of ZUKAL! No confirmation, but my sources claim that the top team has gained their position using magical aids. Charmed weapons perhaps? I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. Loose talk at the arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are after STEEV. Watch your back! A match that raised a few eyebrows at the games this week, it seems that TONKA posted a challenge against the more highly recognized STEEV. The results, you ask? Well, the firebrand TONKA was beat by STEEV. Remember warriors, this is the discipline of steel. Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser? Warriors, may this counselor stand ready at your right hand forever! Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt! The girls are as pretty in ZUKAL as ever I remembered them....and the fighters as ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! Sadly warriors, now longer can I keep thy company nor savor the ale of thy fine city. Depart I must and soon! Till we meet again, remember: a turtle walks slow, hides head in a shell, and harms no one; a lion runs to slay its prey.-- Zontani Sharp Eyes DUELMASTER W L K POINTS TEAM NAME NAHTALEE 4871 13 7 0 91 THE MONGOLOIDS (83) CHALLENGER CHAMPIONS W L K POINTS TEAM NAME STEEV 4936 12 6 0 105 THE MONGOLOIDS (83) CHAMPIONS W L K POINTS TEAM NAME BLUE BLOTTO 5262 15 9 1 79 BLUE MOON (381) TONKA 5198 7 2 0 72 70'S CHILD (479) ULTORINO 5244 14 19 1 71 BLUE MOON (381) ADEPTS W L K POINTS TEAM NAME WILYUM 4935 8 10 0 50 THE MONGOLOIDS (83) -INCISOR 5185 4 2 0 48 FANGS (469) ATARI 2600 5330 4 0 0 39 70'S CHILD (479) CHALLENGER INITIATES W L K POINTS TEAM NAME -MATCHBOX CARS 5195 4 0 0 33 70'S CHILD (479) BLUETTE 5328 5 2 0 32 BLUE MOON (381) BLU JON 5308 6 8 1 27 BLUE MOON (381) -DONAHUE 5197 3 4 0 26 70'S CHILD (479) INITIATES W L K POINTS TEAM NAME -ENAMEL 5101 4 1 0 22 FANGS (469) TIKO BEN 5320 3 8 0 22 BLUE MOON (381) G.I. There WILL BE further attempts to find the mysterious stranger formerly lodging in Bent Lane, and I have to be READY for this. Which means, saving my strength. -- Ultorino Dentine -- Well, you know how it is, my mother said that chewing gum is Low Class, so I just never got into it. She said it was the kind of thing servant girls did, and I never wanted to be a servant girl. -- Bluette Honest Patiaro, the Embezzling Scribe? He has an untrustworthy face. We propose that Lord Protectors ranked "Grand Champions" and below (ADM) and "The Tower Guard" and below (Primus) be allowed to fight in the Dark Arena. This would not impact the top rankings or title match. Any managers who never got his fill or shot at fighting Gateway monsters would have it as an option. We believe it might spark some interest in the ADM/Primus realm for some managers. If interested, speak up in the newsletters or on forums under the "rules changes" thread and let RSI know. This could even be something to try for 12 months and then be re-evaluated. What say you, managers of Ghea? -- The Icelord sends.... 29 January 2007 HDFA Mission Statement "Show me the money!" This is the battle cry of a newly formed collection of like-minded individuals: The High Dolla' Free Agent$. We are not a tough guy alliance: No...we offer no battle without reward. We search for victory and the prizes and accolades that follow. We are motivated by winning and will freely use whatever means necessary to obtain our currency. No stuffy rules, no mandates, no constitutions, no leaders, only a few objectives: 1) Win as often as possible 2) Celebrate freely and revel in your victories; the more meaningless the victory the more we celebrate. Highsiding and chest thumping are encouraged. Ostentatious endzone celebrations with prop usage are encouraged, regardless of fines, penalties, suspensions or arrest by local authorities. It is important to let your opponent know how great you are; more importantly, you must let your own alliance mates know how great you are. This is a 1-up alliance, let the performance of your fellow Free Agent$ motivate you. If a Free Agent wins a TV, win 2; if a Free agent wins a contest, win a more prestigious one.
