Notes from the arena champ.
With any luck, I will cheat death for one more turn and receive my invitation to the
Isle.
I know I'm not the most talkative pirate. Some people get bent out of shape about my
former profession, so I like to keep a low profile. You know, "You burned my village
to the ground!", "You killed my father!", blah blah blah. That sort of talk tends to
ruin an otherwise perfect day.
I've enjoyed my stay here in Zukal. I'm going to miss the dancing references from
the warriors of Blue Moon. As a clarification, I'm not really much of a dancer. The
"hempen jig", especially, is a dance to be avoided at all costs. It is reference to
the fate of many pirates, to be hanged by a hempen rope. Once viewed, the image of
that particular jig will stay with you for a while. I was told I was given this name
in an effort to help me survive, with the hope that Lord Ahringol would enjoy the
imagery and let me live for that very reason. So far, it seems to have worked. My
manager tells me that I am the rarest of warriors, a genius with an iron will. He
told me, "On a scale of 3 to 21, you are a 21 in both!" That's a very nice thing for
him to say, but quite odd. Most people, when picking an arbitrary scale, uses the
tried and true 1 to 10 scale. Still, he is my manager so I put up with his
eccentricities.

SPY REPORT
Greetings, Warriors of ZUKAL. Allow this humble servant Novgorodny Vir to give
you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. PHILANTHROPISTS II had
cause to celebrate, after RAT RACE got 25 points by beating SAFFIRA. Win some, lose
some. Speaking of which, EELY JOE was winsome, after beating KEPLER and seeing him
lose 7 points. Those who hoped for a new Duelmaster were disappointed by MORAVIA
MAUVE, of BLUE MOON, who despite a 15-26-0 couldn't overcome ZUKAL's Number 1. So
who's the team that's been walking into taverns last week and ordering milk? Sounds
like a PR stunt to me.
My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter.
But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights! Is it charming personality?
Conversational abilities? Good oral hygiene? Whatever it is, SEA LEGS is the most
challenged warrior.
