Go Way!!! My poor Missy Lamb is unavailable.
Oh! The scandal that's rocked the Hoy-Paloo. Direct Heiress to the Up fortune,
Melissa "Sunny Side" Up, who recently reached her age. Her father, "Admiral"
Bracegirdle Up, Admiral of the Kolact Yacht Club, having lavished expansively to make
her coming out party the blue-blooded social event of the season. A delicate,
emerging flower of Kolact's Creme de la Creme...this vision...a common sand-fighter.
Albeit, for the moment, the best sand-fighter...the key word is common. Oh the
shame, the fan concealed whispers, the ignominy of it all. Will the Up Foundation
survive?
*On*the*Sly* I've it straight from (uncle) "Sir" Bosley Up that between cigar puffs
and brandy snorts, the Admiral's quietly bursting his bracegirdling buttons.
SPY REPORT
Hail KOLACT! Warriors of the arena, prepare to be praised and blamed for your
deeds. The SIR AGLIO guild has had a 4-1-0 turn and deserves to be watched in the
future. You never know where this kind of thing can lead. KOLACT welcomes a new
team to our ranks, unofficially of course, for now. But welcome nonetheless to WAY
OF THE SWORD A1. Let's see what you can do. And let's see, TORLEC fought CREEPY DOG
and gained 26 points and contributed to WAR HAWKS' 1-3-1. LENNY BAXTER has lost to
SIR PRISE, falling 13 points, while helping make TOWNSVILLAINS a 2-3-0 turn. This
week's Duelmaster bout was between QUONSET and our Duelmaster SUNNY SIDE UP, making a
challenge. The attempts to dethrone the Duelmaster have failed, and SUNNY SIDE UP
remains KOLACT's top warrior for another turn. Tell me, is nothing sacred? I have
heard from unimpeachable sources that Don Corleone's uses trolls in their stew. Talk
about gristle!
I tell you, a green quarterstaff lasts longer than a seasoned sapling. A basher
friend of mine assures me this is true. I also notice that the MONGREL HORDE stable
was the most avoided team this turn. Come on KOLACT, what are you afraid of? And
avoiding MONGREL HORDE more than any other team we find SIR AGLIO. KOLACT, are we
going to accept, or respect this sort of thing? The most challenged warrior this
turn was THE MOONDOGS' warrior CLEO. More fighters challenged her than challenged
the Duelmaster! QUICKSAND of QUBIT had better have a good reason for challenging
down 9 points in a challenge which he lost. I thought QUICKSAND showed great skill
and promise when he lost to KEPLER. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once. Wise men know this to
be true. SPRINGBORN has some questions to answer. Like 'why did you kill your
fighter, BATTERING BETTY, who had a record of 3-1-0?' Hearty mugs of ale were raised
in KOLACT today as CREEPY DOG was bid farewell to a 11-6-0 warrior, with TORLEC of
WAR HAWKS standing silent and pensive. We'd like to remind certain teams not to rob
the graves of their enemies. You know who you are; and it's considered rude.
Thought for the day, a new sword shines bright, but the notched sword sings the
sweetest. Well, I'm burning daylight here in KOLACT and I've a long road ahead of

team incognito, all you have to do is let me know and I won't put your name on any
manager lists. It has seemed though, that more people want their names listed, even
if they do not announce themselves, than the other way around. Also, I do maintain

than fair play (well...as fair as it gets!) and improving the knowledge base of the

ANNOUNCING THE RETURN OF STORMCROWE SLAUGHTERHOUSE
The last Stormcrowe Slaughterhouse was one of the closest and most exciting
contests ever held in Alastari. Such an epic demands a sequel. Therefore, Master
Darque and Jack Wolfspider are pleased to announce the return of the Stormcrowe
Slaughterhouse.
Where? Stormcrowe DM 45 (slow). When? The Slaughterhouse returns on Turn 207,
due August 19. How can you get into the action? Bring a team (one per entrant
please) to arena 45 and announce your intention to join the contest in the Personals.
Rules: This time around the rules are very simple. Each warrior win against a
higher rated opponent (one or more points higher in the ratings) brings you 10
points, against even rated opponent 7 points, lower rated 5 points. Wins against
NPCs or by a warrior who downchallenges are worth 0 points. Points are doubled for
kills. All warriors in the arena whether participating in the Slaughterhouse or not
are fair game. Points are totaled weekly, and the contestant whose team has racked
up the most points at the end of 10 turns is declared Slaughterhouse Champion.
Prizes: To be announced; we're still talking with RSI about it. Figure it will
be something pretty good. But hey, who needs prizes when the honor of being
Slaughterhouse Champion awaits!
