SPY REPORT
If you were disturbed from your beauty rest only to have to watch a bunch of
KOLACT brutes like you, you'd be grouchy, too. If this keeps up, THE FELLOWSHIP,
you'll have to shine swords instead of use them. A drop of 4 in the rankings? Of
course, we're all terribly impressed to see QUIP win a fight and gain 16 points,
terribly. Tsk, tsk, KUNG-FU MASTER beat QAEDA, AL and QAEDA, AL lost 6 points.
You're breakin' my heart. IVAN MASHMINAPLP Dark Arena Challenged BLACK ORC for
KOLACT's Title this turn, and guess what happened? The crowds were amazed this turn,
as BLACK ORC killed the Duelmaster, IVAN MASHMINAPLP, leaving SPRINGBORN in mourning.
This incredible death has allowed, I might add, SIR REALISTIC from SIR AGLIO to
ascend to the throne of Duelmaster, and I hear DARK ARENA is not happy. Don
Corleone's, humph! I've tasted better ale at mortuaries. Where do they get this
stuff? From KOLACT's trash dumps?
He who fights and runs away will live to fight another day, the coward. What's
the big D? SPRINGBORN was the most avoided team? Bunch of lily livered...
grumble... mumble... curse... And it looks like QUBIT avoided them the most this
turn. What a pack of would be losers, if you ask me. Hmph.
Death and Taxes. The less death I see, the more it taxes my patience. Let's
see if anyone's dead or dying. I could say I saw this coming, but so could anyone
else. Anyway, this turn it came. KRANKY KARL's 4-8-1 has earned him the Dark Arena.
Titanium shields and bamboo daggers, guess what brave team is developing these kinds
of weapons?
There's got to be a better place in KOLACT to get a drink than Don Corleone's!

HAMMER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Be it known from the highest mountains to the darkest alleys of Alastari that
the veteran manager known far and wide as Hammer has now officially retired from
sponsoring contests as of September 15, 2005.
What a long time ago was a fun motivated activity to help promote our common
DM/D2 gaming interest in an effort to promote the growth and competitiveness of
selected arenas has become a far from fun experience.
In other words Hammer has had it!
The combination of real life situations interfering with the time needed to
effectively sponsor a contest, plus the attitudes expressed during such sponsorship
interference has led to Hammer closing his personal coin coffers and retiring from
his planned sponsorship of any future contests.
There are others in our close knit gaming community who are well able to step up
to the plate and continue sponsoring contests that make the basic game a fun
experience for all those who choose to compete and interact in such future endeavors.
Hammer thanks all managers both active and inactive who helped to make the
Hammer sponsored contests a historical and entertaining experience well worth the
time, effort and money spent over the past several years.
May the Cheers and the Jeers of future contests build upon the legacies of those
who have paved the way in years gone by to help make this game what it is today.
Hammer has no regrets for the part he has played in that history.
