DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Tcha, this is ridiculous. We go three-one against the standbys today, which is
better than last time, but still. Deimos, duelmaster, lost to the Veteran Mercenary
and was quite properly deprived of his title. Lunar Coyote defeated the Veteran
Mercenary, just to prove it could be done, but he's leaving or retiring or something.
I defeated the Venomous Concubine and have gained the title thereby. Okay, at least
I got it on a win. But we need some genuine competition in the upper ranks. Where
IS everybody?
Reese Sileen
SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of KOLACT! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp Eyes,
Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. MOON-EYE caught the eye of many in the
gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested EMBEZZLING SCRIBE and was awarded 15
points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, VENOMOUS CONCUBINE
put down DEIMOS, causing her to lose 5 points of recognition in the process. Not for
nothing has REESE SILEEN in the past laid claim to the Duelmaster's throne, and this
week she's proven hers combat skill yet again. No confirmation, but my sources claim
that the top team has gained their position using magical aids. Charmed weapons
perhaps?
Many and various are the arts of battle. In KOLACT "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language!
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Some say a warrior is judged by the way
he bears arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in KOLACT. Nice atmosphere you have here! Ahh, but I can hear the spires of
a far off city calling to me. I must away! Till next we meet remember - the pen is
mightier than the sword, but a maul is a different story!-- Zontani Sharp Eyes

Hmm, the Khalhums Dwarf "fought the good fight," as they say, but not good enough.
Actually, I was surprised to win, not that I'm complaining! But the Dwarf is tough.
-- Joleen Kruz
Dahlii -- At six foot six, that's a lot of wretchedness. Darned if I know how I
ended up hitting you on the ankle, you'd think it was impossible. Unless... did you
try to kick me in the head about then? That would have made it possible and even
sensible. -- Orbin Paes
We salute those who participated in the tourney. -- Jorja and the Moondogs
