CITY. Hope you enjoy the show. Oh, who am I kidding? I already got paid! Coming
up with a solid 3-0-0 outing, 'CROSSED UP has advanced 7 places in the rankings.
Advancing in the rankings was SNUGGLEBUNNIES who went from last turn's 5-9-0, to this
week's record of 8-10-0. Life's a beach, and it's getting pretty hot on the arena
sand for NOBODYS, who entered ARUAK CITY with a 0-3-0 week. Better luck next time.
Hey everybody, watch out for SCRAG'S LIZARD, who flew up 37 points in the rankings
after mashing FRED WEASLEY like a melon. Keep your eye on this beast. And falling
like a basher in the top ten was IVAN DEERSTALKER, who dropped 18 points after a
disappointing (to say the least) bout with CRISSY. Drawing on all of his experience
as a 13-6-0 warrior, BART WELLENS went for the Duelmastership against VAJRA VALMEJAR
this week. It's a proud day for the 'CROSSED UP stable, as their warrior, BART
WELLENS, ascended the Duelmaster's throne. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but
an onion a day keeps T.P.s at bay.
Here is other news that is of note. Did you hear that GIRO PELETON was most
avoided team this week? Well, knowing the personal hygiene of GIRO PELETON's
warriors, I'm not surprised! And you guys like to boo me? Well, unsling your
rasberries, cause MENS REA beats feet every time GIRO PELETON smiles at them. Try
farming, eh? And who is this ALAN HOLDSWORTH you ask, with 26 points and a 4-14-0
record. Ooh, the tales I could tell! In a mismatch, our friend INGRATE WHITE CREEP
of CONSORTIUM CRAP got heroic notions and challenged ORION ORANGE. What did it get
him? A 9-5-0 record, that's what. This week INGRATE WHITE CREEP 9-5-0 fought ORION
ORANGE 20-12-0 and in losing gained 1 points. I know several gladiators who could go
for a few fights like that. Well, it looks like LONNIE JOHNSON wasn't happy with
last turn's rank, so he went for broke by challenging up 26 points. No guts, no
glory. Trading many whacks on the head and a loss for 2 recognition points, LONNIE
JOHNSON shows that a guy doesn't have to be good to get places. Challenging down 16
points was TALKHIS. Pretty soon he'll be using two shields and selling 'T.P.: The
only way to clean up' pins. Definition of petty: TALKHIS won victory over CORKED
BAT SAMMY, a mismatch of 16 points. TRACII GUNS of THE HEADCUTTERS II had better
have a good reason for challenging down 13 points in a challenge which he was slain.
I thought TRACII GUNS showed great skill and promise when he was slain by DARTH
PRETZEL. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Remember that an arena is not always a safe place to be, but it is one of the
most interesting, though! NIGHTEYES says to hers dog--'Who should I fight this
week?'. Dog says 'HIGH ELF'. So the gal dies. Moral? Put lying dogs to sleep.
There's got to be more reason for the sending of MOONRAZOR to the Dark Arena than his
record (3-1-0). Anybody got any ideas SHADOWS? Big deal, so ALAN HOLDSWORTH got
mashed in the Dark Arena. With his face he was more at home with the trolls than
with us. (Waka waka). GNIMWIT says to his dog--'Who should I fight this week?'. Dog
says 'MOUNTAIN TROLL'. So the guy dies. Moral? Put lying dogs to sleep. CUDDLING
defied all odds and slew BLACK ORC in the Dark Arena. The only ones displeased were
the buzzards, as BLACK ORC's meat is notoriously tough. This round goes to VIEW
ASKEW, their 10-8-1 warrior, NUBIAN GOD slew the 8-2-0 MARTIN DERGANC. Stay tuned
next week to see what happens. Carrion Bird Cinematic Humor: TRACII GUNS II: THE
REMATCH. Congrats to SUMTHING PAINFUL for revenging the death of his teammate (but
more importantly, feeding 2XZ a bit of dirt). Here's some advice: warriors with
little wit and will may encounter problems on the trail to the Isle.

a style that I feel is the best for my team no matter what arena I am in or wether or

All -- I crossed a milestone last turn that was over 11 years in the making. With
the graduation of Orion Orange, I have successfully taken warriors of all 10 fighting
styles through basic to the Isle. The basher and, now, the ripper both finally made
it in the last three months. Were it not for those styles, I would have completed
this task years ago. A bit of trivia, my first two styles to AD were those that some
find most challenging: PL and AB. You can still find that particular AB in Andorak,
bringing me great satisfaction just from the interesting fights he produces. Anyway,
let me briefly share Orion Orange because he's, well, unconventional: 21-10-12-17-
10-3-11, PR. Normal endurance, great damage. EP, MO/HI, riposte tactic, defense
skills. -2 Att, +3 Par. I'd like to give him a shot in AD because his rythyms
thrill me, but I can't see any long term development with the Att penalty he carries.
He will remain for me an interesting (and surprisingly successful) experiment, that
defied all odds and did what so many others could not: let me graduate a ripper! --

A quick question about the Andorian League. Do my eyes deceive me or are there
four different sub nations in the league? It this also true of the Delarquan League?
What does this signify, if at all?
I can see that Andor is the Capitol, and that of the four sub nations Aruak
seems to be the capitol of the 11 cities that are joined to be the biggest of the
four.
In the stories that are written how much political social and financial
information is known? I wish to write some stories of my own so any diplos any of
you wish to send me regarding general info, current events, plot ideas or desire to

STOP THINKING TOGS!!!!! It's here. Well, almost here anyway. We're looking at
a start date of the first turn in Aradi (DM 60) following the Fall Mail-In. This
should give everyone sufficient time to study the new ultra-improved T#%S IV rules
and prep accordingly. So without further ado, here is your handy-dandy guide to
winning your very own Golden Scrod (and some other very cool prizes to be announced
officially before the start of the tourney that must not be named):
1. Each T#%S team consists of two managers. After the tourney starts, there will be
no switching partners whatsoever, so choose your partners wisely. T#%S IV will
last for 13 turns, so pick a partner you can stand for 6 months or so. The only
team I know of so far is last TOGS winners: Ganolus Oakleaf/Hombre of Blood
Related/Thieves Guild. Hey, this is fun!
2. The T#%S entry fee is 2 team setups per manager. This means 4 setups per T#%S
team. This entry fee is required before the start of the tourney with no
exceptions being made. This is to ensure that nobody gets screwed if a team or
manager decides to back out early. To pay the entry fee either:
a) send $10 cash/check/money order/ or whatever to me personally at:

b) get RSI to send me 2 team setup gift certificates. Sorry, no credit cards and
no old teams you have lying around will be accepted.
3. T#%S point system:
10 points for winning on your up-challenge against another T#%S warrior.
7 points for winning on your even challenge of another T#%S warrior.
7 points for winning on another T#%S warriors challenge.
7 points for winning a random matchup against another T#%S warrior.
4 points for winning on your down-challenge of another T#%S warrior.
4 points for winning a random matchup against a non-T#%S warrior. Do not fight
your team mate, you will not get any points. Also, you will not get any points
if you challenge or get challenged by a non-T#%S team, so use your avoids
wisely if you think someone is out to get you.
10 points for being the Duelmaster. This is in addition to all points listed
above and will begin turn 1, so prep accordingly.
5 points for every spotlight written by any team member, 1 per manager per turn.
The minimum length of a spotlight to receive points is 1/2 column in the
newsletter (that's 31 lines-each line 85 characters across) and I will be
completely firm on this. In addition to the length criteria, spotlights will
not be given points if they are in any way plagiarized or if they are not
Duelmasters or fantasy related. I will be the sole judge of this. If you're
unsure if I will judge something to be Duelmasters or fantasy related, then
e-mail me before you write the spotlight and ask me. I reserve the right to
take points away from a spotlight after they are given if I judge at a later
time that the spotlight has been plagiarized.
-5 points per manager per turn every time a manager does not at least write one
personal ad.
-5 points for being the team that avoided the most.
If you participated in TOGS III, you'll notice some slight changes in the points
structure. The main things are points for random match ups against non T#%S
warriors, bonus points for being the Duelmaster, new spotlight criteria, and no
points given for being the most avoided team.
4. I already mentioned this, but T#%S IV will start the first turn in arena 60 after
the Fall Mail-In runs and it will last for 13 turns. There will not be a
Survivor format this time around, meaning no eliminations. I will still be doing
the multipliers at the end, however. This means that all points accumulated by a
team on turns 10 and 11 will be multiplied by 1.5 and all points accumulated by
each team on turns 12 and 13 will be multiplied by 2.
5. Prizes are yet to be determined, but I'll tell you what I know. There will be
prizes given out each turn to whichever team scores the most combined points on a
given turn. Tie breakers will go to the team with the most wins on that turn and
then to the team with most overall points. I have asked RSI for the same prizes
as last TOGS which were transferring any warrior to arena 60 and renaming Aradi
for approximately 6 months, but we'll see what they come back with. I haven't
