Notes from the arena champ.
Well here I am for another cycle as your duelmaster. Steel Monkey showed up this
cycle but unfortunately T-Bone was unable to best him so the bloodfeud will continue
for one more cycle. Unfortunatley our options are rather limited so he will be
trying again. Bark, good try. Perhaps you should try coffee. This cycle I will be
challenging Nixie Seasprite and avoiding Velvet Green for the same reason as last
cycle.

SPY REPORT
Welcome ARUAK CITY. I, Olaf Modeen remember this place well. Many the fights
have I fought here. The celebrations, the disappointments... Bein' on top is great
while it lasts, BULLDOGS. But how many friends do you have now? Who can explain it?
Not you, not me, not THE HEADCUTTERS II's opponents, after watching them shoot up the
ranks from 19th to 8th. You know what they say about the herd of lions who studied a
judge... WHEN DOGMA FAILS II moved up 16 places, to 13th. It seems so recently
people were saying ANIMAL FARM was washed up, finished. But 3-1-0 moved them up 2.
I guess they're washed no more... What's with K. K. DOWNING? He actually beat THE
BLUES' MEMPHIS MINNIE, and walked away with 28 more points from the fight. Laughs
were big at THE HEADCUTTERS II while they watched K. K. DOWNING clobber MEMPHIS
MINNIE. She lost 19 points and got bruised from objects thrown from the stands. See
how the Duelmaster challenged SCARLET KNIGHTS' NIXIE SEASPRITE? That sort of
initiative is how he got where he is now. I'm sure ARUAK CITY is excited about NIXIE
SEASPRITE, the new Duelmaster from SCARLET KNIGHTS. (remember?) But when you've
seen as many as I have... Wouldn't it be nice to have live subjects to practice on?
I hear some team is looking into the uses of convicted prisoners.
No matter the time or place, men will always duel. The most avoided team was
SEER KING. Management must be dealin', as the boys at BULLDOGS ain't reelin'! SEER
KING's mad! What do people see in GLADIATORZ? His 3-4-0? INQUISITION GC 03 ain't
talkin', but he's got 32 points. Fighting is a better craft than farming,
TENDERLOIN, but you have to pay your dues. Being challenged by DOG FASHION, 22
points above you, is dues. I have to get this off my chest. What a low dog, DOG
FASHION! He can't set himself up in a real match. I was sorry to see TENDERLOIN
lose. FUZZBALL expects the easy win by going 17 points down. ALBINO RAINBOW will
find this a hard lesson! FUZZBALL left the match looking worse than when he went in,
after ALBINO RAINBOW, with a 2-3-0, walked all over him. PERNAK of SEER KING knows
how to pick 'em. He challenged STRONGBOW of ELFQUEST who is up by 21. Now was this
a wise move? PERNAK perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he lost to STRONGBOW
and ended up with 68 recognition points.
A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do. Who will dare fight DA SCUM, after it returned from
the Dark Arena? (For the record 2-0-2 is 53, and has it points) DOG-TIRED killed
FRUITY VIRTUES, and expects revenge from MORAL FIBER. The dead are better off
dead--they have no worries. CLEARBROOK, with hers forgettable 8-12-0, was killed by
HERMES in a forgettable match. ELFQUEST didn't seem to mind very much. We all knew
it had to happen sooner or later. A warrior can't stick around with a 15-19-1, and
DRAGULA easily took care of PRISM EYESBRITE. WARDUKE was plum wore out after BIG JOE
TURNER pounded 'im silly in a Bloodfeud. SCARLET KNIGHTS II'll have to get a little
better before going after BIG JOE TURNER again! How long have I been here? I got
people to see, places to go...
Who knows what the future holds for a warrior. More fights, there's no doubt.
