TEAM SPOTLIGHT
It is not often that I spotlight The Bulldogs as a team in Aruak City. True, we
have been present a long, long time. And it is true that we love Aruak City, the
Heart and Soul of Andoria. We have seen the many changes of time, yet we Aruakians
remain true to the honor that is Aruak City.
But that is not my message today. I come to speak and spotlight two important
members of The Bulldogs who have taken a path of significant honor.
First is Puppy Love. Last turn Amy of Khans Of Calamity ended Love's life in a
well fought random match. Puppy Love has now headed to that Great Arena In The Sky
to fight for eternity. We will miss her. She was a 9-9-12-13-7-13-21 Aimer, who was
blessed with great damage and +2 attack. She knew her life could be precarious in
the arena, but she chose the way. She died with honor, just as Amy won the match
with honor. We offer a salute to the fallen Bulldog.
Next is Tenderloin, who has chosen to leave the arena life through The Dark
Arena. Tenderloin knew from the beginning that he would have much to overcome to be
a competitor in the arena, as he was born with so many handicaps. He worked
diligently to strengthen his weaknesses and to accentuate his minimal strengths. He
did so with great honor and humility. Now, his request for The Dark Arena has been
honored. Tenderloin, heading into that dark place is a 15(+2)-8(+1)-11-9(+2)-17(+2)-
12(+2)-21 basher who was further hosed with normal damage at the start and -3 or 4
defense. He worked hard to compile the near 50% record (7-8) that he did. His
experiments with weapons did little, yielding 0/26/1ML, 1/21/0WH, 5/29/0GA, and
4/38/1MA. We also offer a salute to Tenderloin for his choice of the path of honor.
Times are difficult as there are those who through jealousy or spite feel the
need to disrupt, or even destroy, the Aruak City way of life. We Bulldogs salute all
of you, like our fallen comrades, who have chosen the way of Health, Humility, and
Honor.

SPY REPORT
Oh, hi. Its just little 'ol Debby Tonte. Thought I'd check out ARUAK CITY to
see what's new. I couldn't believe it. Did BRAT PACK II really go up by 11? If
only those guys didn't have so may missing teeth... Gross! I don't wanna hurt
anybody's feelings or anything, but ANIMAL FARM really goofed with their 1-3-0. One
team deserves special mention 'cause they moved up 0 after going 3-0-0. Keep it up,
SKASMONAUTS! MVP award for DARX? EXTREME TV's proud of him after beating BLUNDER
DASH and getting 21 points. Talk about yer big time losers! FUZZBALL got smashed by
BONNIE RAITT, and lost 15 points! Like, LONNIE JOHNSON must be pretty gutsy! He
challenged the Duelmaster from THE BLUES. Does this guy have a death wish or what!
This Duelmaster is like something else! T-BONE WALKER stopped LONNIE JOHNSON dead in
his tracks! I hear the top team insists all their warriors get nine hours sleep.
They want photogenic fighters for PR photos.
I gotta admit I haven't been in "deep con caves" with any spies. Really, I just
wing this stuff. NEVERWAKE was the most avoided team. Is a 41-40-4 record really
that scary? Hhmph! What kind of warriors are COLORIFIC? NEVERWAKE, an easy team to
beat if I ever saw one, can't get them to accept an invitation! Like, is BRANFORD
HAWKE popular, or what? He was challenged the most in all of ARUAK CITY! He's got a
11-9-0, is that good? For sure, I was holding my breath when I found out ALMOND
ALBATROSS challenged RAINSONG. After all, haven't ANIMAL FARM and ELFQUEST had a
long standing duel in ARUAK CITY? It wasn't a spectacular fight, or anything, but
RAINSONG wants me to write about it since she beat ALMOND ALBATROSS. Satisfied?
What does a fighter fight for? I mean, the crowds don't give a hoot if someone
gets killed. Not after four more fights. I hear BULLDOGS sent TENDERLOIN to the
Dark Arena. What, is that like not well-lit, or what? What a bummer deal for EMILIO
ESTEUEZ! He just barely was getting his "fighter feet" but got kill by WARDUKE of
SCARLET KNIGHTS II! Those're the breaks, I guess. I was SO depressed when I heard
SLAG got killed. He was just a kid, and didn't get a fair chance in ARUAK CITY, or
anything! Fight, fight, fight. Is that all you guys can do?
I really didn't, you know, study when I was a kid. Who would've guessed I'd be
a famous Spyreporter? I'm getting tired of writing this stuff, so I'm calling it

FACE-TO-FACE XXXIV
Our next Winter Face-to-Face will be held on Martin Luther King weekend, Friday
through Sunday, 14-16 January 2005, at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, Arizona (4400 S
Rural Rd--this is the same hotel as last year). Room rates are $139.00 per night,
1-4 occupancy, which includes breakfast. The rooms are blocked. The reservations
number is 480-897-7444; tell them you're with the "Reality Simulations Face to Face
Convention" block. Our room block will be released in mid-December, so please make
sure you reserve your room before then!
Room rates include a full cooked-to-order breakfast and a complimentary two-hour
manager's reception. There is a free shuttle to the airport, as well as free parking.
The hotel is located down the freeway in Tempe. All rooms have high speed internet
(for an extra charge). There is a fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool, and of course a
bar and Mexican restaurant inside the hotel. And there's Denny's right across the
street. Look for transportation info in the tournament information sheet.
The tournament information sheet/strategy sheet should be out sometime in late
November/early December.
