Notes from the arena champ.
Well, what a way to come back. We go 5-2 have team on the move, and I win the crown.
Maybe this is an omen of better results to come. I'd like to give congrats to the
former Duelmaster for the advancement to advanced.
The origin of the Living Dead is that we came from arena 37. We transferred to Aruak
when they shut down the arena. Dartor is trying to finish off this team and so far
one guy was DA'd, one guy was murdered and one guy graduated. That leaves me and
Superbeast. After we're gone it will be back to just having the Immortals around.

SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of ARUAK CITY! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Fortune did not smile upon KRILL
CAVALRY this time out who this turn suffered a fall into 16th position in the wake of
a 1-4-0 round. Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the corner!
Witness how this week MANIC MARVELS went 3-2-0 to move up 9 in the rankings. Did
only my eyes note the 4-1-0 record which LORDS OF CHAOS managed to post this round?
I don't doubt that such a record will draw challengers! SUPERBEAST caught the eye of
many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested VAN HELSING and was
awarded 24 points in recognition. As is fitting, the most sought after warrior on
the challenge boards this week was none other than Duelmaster ENBALMER himself. Most
watched of the fights this week, the spotlight was on K. K. DOWNING as he bore arms
against the challenge of reigning Duelmaster ENBALMER. This time victory fell to the
grasp of the usurper. All hail K. K. DOWNING, Duelmaster of ARUAK CITY! No
confirmation, but my sources claim that the top team has gained their position using
magical aids. Charmed weapons perhaps?
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. My inside sources tell me that the
team to beat in ARUAK CITY these days is BULLDOGS. At least, most blades in town are
looking to avoid them. Apparently the stalwarts of TUFT TUGGERS are catching the
bulk of jests down at the challenging board for their large share of the avoids. A
match that raised a few eyebrows at the games this week, it seems that KALIDOR THE
BOLD posted a challenge against the more highly recognized WILLIE DIXON. The
results, you ask? Well, the firebrand KALIDOR THE BOLD won victory over WILLIE
DIXON. Remember warriors, this is the discipline of steel. I can not but mention
with disdain the name of HALO who this week posted a challenge to a warrior a full 10
points below in the rankings. I thought HALO showed great skill and promise when she
dispatched THUNDERSTORM. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Look no more for AZURE ASP in the arena
or on the streets of ARUAK CITY. Hers fate was sealed in the Dark Arena. Inevitable
for one at 5-7-1. I must report the passing of THUNDERSTORM, veteran of many duels.
11-24-0 final record His was not illustrious--but death plays no favorites. Some say
a warrior is judged by the way he bears arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in
hand then a sword on the belt!
The girls are as pretty in ARUAK CITY as ever I remembered them....and the
fighters as ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! Ahh, but I can hear the spires of
a far off city calling to me. I must away! Till next we meet remember: a fool

Is there anybody in the DM game who is incarcerated that has had to litigate in order
to continue playing? Or anyone in the free world who may be able to help me with
case law or legal advice? The Administration has already taken "D&D type games" from
us once (though I recently had that decision overturned). I believe it's only a
matter of time before they try it again and I am prepared to file a lawsuit if need
be. I enjoy DM and any help that could be offered would be greatly appreciated! I

Ladies and gents...get your teams together and join in on the hottest and fiercest
contest ever to grace the arena sands! Intrigue, personal wars, you name it...we got
it going on! What is this contest? It's the Turf War IV in DM 47, North Fork!!
This fantastic contest was begun by my alliance mate Asmo Dius, and I've picked up
some of the slack. Contest starts on Turn 225 (approx. date June 9th?). It's an
"alliance-type contest", so grab your folks and bring them in for a bang up time.
Rules will be printed in the DM 47 newsletter at least until the contest starts. --

It's finally here! ScumFest 2005! The greatest scum in the land of Alastari are
formally invited to participate in ScumFest 2005, a contest involving the scummiest
scum in all of Alastari!
Who: All Scum in Alastari
What: Scum Fest 2005!
Where: Talahya
When: May 23rd, Talahya Turns 490-499
Rules
======
The object of winning ScumFest is to have the longest cumulative time (in minutes) at
the end of the 10th round.
Should there be a tie at the end of 10 rounds, tiebreakers are (in order):
- Head to Head Record
- Win/Loss Percentage
- Average Fight Length
(We'll go into overtime if they're still tied)
There are no other rules. A manager may use any means at his disposal in order to
accomplish his goal. Collusion, hiring Aimed Blows to take out the leaders, etc.
Anything goes!
To enter the scum fest, please write a personal ad in the DM 100 newsletter,
declaring your intention to join the contest, or send an email to managerr@aol.com
Please include warrior name and ID numbers of the contestants. You may enter the
competition up until Turn 494.
Prizes will be announced after the competition begins. The point of the contest is
to prove you have the scummiest scum, and necessarily for a silly prize.

Summer Face-to-Face Tournament XXXV in St. Louis!
Our next summer FTF will be held in downtown St. Louis, July 29-31, 2005. It will be
at the Radisson Hotel & Suites, St. Louis (800-925-1395--ask for the Reality
Simulations room block). Room rates are $99.00 per night, 1-4 occupancy. The rooms
are blocked--please make your reservation by mid-June before the block is released!

Winter Face-to-Face Tournament XXXVI in Tempe!
Our next winter FTF will be held in Tempe, Arizona, January 20-22, 2006. It will be
held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Tempe, Arizona (480-894-7444), the same hotel as
last year by popular request. Room rates are $139.00 per night (same as last year!),
1-4 occupancy, which includes full cooked breakfast, complimentary manager's
reception, free airport shuttle, free parking, high speed internet (for extra charge),
fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool. The rooms are blocked--please make your
reservation soon before the block is released! (This is prime season for Phoenix, and
several people were unable to book rooms last year because they waited too long.)
