I win again! Somehow! Wow! My droppings must be more potent than I think.
BUT, I will gladly accept the honor of DM!!! Yes! I will.
For the column, how about I give you some historic information. Let's go back
to 6 years ago, the May 26, 2005 Aruak City newsletter. Shall we compare how Purple
People Eater's Colorific team has done in comparison to us Critters? And while I am
at it, let's include Kennelworth and The Bulldogs in the review.

SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly ARUAK CITY games. Former top team BULLDOGS was
unseated this week as COLORIFIC moved up from 2nd ranking to take the top spot with a
4-1-0 record for the round. My praise to COLORIFIC for their 4-1-0 week this time
out. Indeed, it was a skillfully fought round deserving of notice! TOBY BLOODSPIKE
caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested
ALMIGHTY BOB and was awarded 27 points in recognition. In one of the week's more
notable duels, TOBY BLOODSPIKE put down ALMIGHTY BOB, causing him to lose 21 points
of recognition in the process. Cold and lifeless, former Duelmaster PURPLE PELICAN
will fight no more! CANILIV KAT has slain her! Would you believe that over half of
the old women in ARUAK CITY seem to feel that they could fight better than you
gladiators?
But come now, let us look deeper into the maze of contention and crossed blades
that is city ARUAK CITY. My inside sources tell me that the team to beat in ARUAK
CITY these days is CANNIBALZ. At least, most blades in town are looking to avoid
them. Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it was that spent the
better part of last week avoiding CANNIBALZ. Indeed it was COLORIFIC. Mighty
fighters cannot but expect competition from those below. HARLINE FLETE take warning!
You have more than a few enemies in ARUAK CITY.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. VOGON JELTZ has sworn to take up
religion upon living to tell of his recent bout with the Dark Arena horrors. A rare
thing indeed! Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers the miserable with fortune but
sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed a
stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari await me!
