Notes from the arena champ.
Hello Aruak, I like the view from up here. It is about time a Hitchhiker sat on
the throne. I would like to thank Harline Flete for a shot at the Duelmastership and
all of those nice skills. You were a good match-up for me, being a Rip learning Wall
of Steel... gotta love it. I should be around for a few more turns, I hope, before I
take the longboat to the Isle... oops, I hope I did not jinx myself. The Kiss of Ben
doesn't work in Aruak City, does it?
A couple of turns back Benjy Mouse was mistakenly sent to the Dark Arena and
Sheila GW had to be called in to resurrect him, thank you, Mistress. He becomes the
newest member of Deep Thought's rag-tag crew. Hopefully we can discover the Ultimate
Question to the answer of Life, the Universe and Everything, which Deep Thought
figured out to be... 42.
I'm very proud to be on top of this venerable arena and I welcome anyone who
wants to come try and take it away from me.

SPY REPORT
Much has changed in ARUAK CITY since last I was here. Never fear, Olaf Modeen
adapts to many situations, as do all successful fighters. It seems so recently
people were saying FURRY FURY was washed up, finished. But 3-1-0 moved them up 0. I
guess they're washed no more... What's with ROSE ROOSTER? He actually beat
CANNIBALZ's SIOLAZEELA, and walked away with 18 more points from the fight. Major
screwup at CANNIBALZ. SIOLAZEELA lost 15 points to ROSE ROOSTER. Some new
strategies, perhaps? Maybe SIOLAZEELA will provide more easy wins... ARUAK CITY has
a Duelmaster who doesn't sit back and get lazy. He challenged CANNIBALZ's DORA
(10-10-0), which should prove (ahem!) interesting. Try as she might, DORA wasn't
good enough at persuading ALMIGHTY BOB to step down from the Duelmaster's throne...
Advice to fighters with a 1 will--give up fighting!
If at first you don't succeed, avoid. That'll get you in the Spyreports. The
most avoided team was CANNIBALZ. The bums at COLORIFIC couldn't face the challenges
from CANNIBALZ! No excuse for that! How well I know the feeling of being the most
challenged warrior, CORVO BLACK! Don't make idle boasts, they may come back to haunt
you. CORVO BLACK didn't quite know what to make of a challenge he received from
BLACK EYE of COLORIFIC, who is 22 points below him. BLACK EYE perhaps got his just
desserts, seeing as he defeated CORVO BLACK and ended up with 95 recognition points.
There have been some calls to lengthen the time limit. Do you want the fighters
to walk away, or not? Is it my imagination, or are fighters getting younger every
day? To die so young, so gloriously!
Well, I'm pretty much through. You guys need to get back practicing. All work
and no play makes Olaf a dull fighter. Work and play no fighter dull Olaf.
