TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Birth of a Prodigal Aimer
My name is Anna Thena. Yes, it is a play off the word 'anathema.' For those
who are not savvy, by definition my name means basically I'm a solemn curse-- a
person accursed or intensely disliked. What makes me so? Well, I'm an aimer for
starters; and it doesn't help that out of the 9 other styles, I was the runt of the
skill set [which translates to: 49 total skills, compared to a top end base
potential of 74 total skills].
Now can you see why I've been titled 'prodigal'. For those who are not savvy,
by definition this means basically that my designer was being recklessly extravagant
with my numbers or plain wasteful with my potential. Let me give you a snap shot of
the numbers:

So I asked my designer why he didn't make me to be one of the top-end styles--
like any one of the 62+ skill packages-- instead of the seriously disadvantaged
design that I am now. He looks at me and says, "Take pride in the madness of you
I've wrought. You're an aimer for no other reason than because I desired it and
willed it so." Then laughed at me, called me a certified Rapscallion, and told me to
'deal with it'.
Well, I better go train (a lot) if I'm gonna have a hope to earn my keep. Wish
me luck.

Oh, hi. Its just little 'ol Debby Tonte. Thought I'd check out ARUAK CITY to
see what's new. What was the name of that team who got 3-0-0 this turn for a total
14-14-0 you ask? (Sure) THE JOKER'S WILD's their name, and fighting's their game!
MVP award for SMIMATSU? THE ASSEMBLY's proud of him after beating A DOG'S LIFE and
getting 18 points. Talk about yer big time losers! CLARET CRAWDAD got smashed by
KUNG-FU MASTER, and lost 12 points! TAPIK thinks his 16-6-0 and studly character is
good enough to face up to the Duelmaster. Any bets? Was that a tear I saw in
TAPIK's eye, as he took over Duelmastership? And wasn't COWLICK fit to be tied! I
hear the top team insists all their warriors get nine hours sleep. They want
photogenic fighters for PR photos.
So just why would someone becomes a warrior anyway? It can't be for these
really neat Spyreports can it? The warriors of THE HITCHHIKERS must be getting
lonely. They were the most avoided team. Do you guys know something that I don't?
Hhmph! What kind of warriors are BULLDOGS? THE HITCHHIKERS, an easy team to beat if
I ever saw one, can't get them to accept an invitation! Can IMMORTALS' MCWITTLE be
more popular than me? He was challenged the most, but is that really the same? For
sure, I was holding my breath when I found out CHEEKY MADCAP challenged 5 ACES.
After all, haven't RAPSCALLIONS and THE JOKER'S WILD had a long standing duel in
ARUAK CITY? It wasn't a spectacular fight, or anything, but 5 ACES wants me to write
about it since he overcame CHEEKY MADCAP. Satisfied?
What does a fighter fight for? I mean, the crowds don't give a hoot if someone
gets killed. Not after four more fights. Fight, fight, fight. Is that all you guys
can do?
I really didn't, you know, study when I was a kid. Who would've guessed I'd be
