SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly ARUAK CITY games. Former top team THE JOKER'S WILD
was unseated this week as WRATHMEN DM 20 moved up from 3rd ranking to take the top
spot with a 4-1-0 record for the round. There were bitter words at THE JOKER'S
WILD's guildhouse after a 1-4-0 showing this week which dropped the stable into 5th.
Dark Arena anyone? Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the corner!
Witness how this week IMMORTALS went 4-1-1 to move up 4 in the rankings. My praise
to ANIMAL FARM for their 3-0-0 week this time out. Indeed, it was a skillfully
fought round deserving of notice! SMARG DARKBLADE caught the eye of many in the
gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested ATTABOY and was awarded 19 points in
recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, SMARG DARKBLADE put down
ATTABOY, causing him to lose 11 points of recognition in the process. This time
victory fell to the grasp of the usurper. All hail KOOCHIKOOCHIKOO, Duelmaster of
ARUAK CITY! Heed this! A seer has warned that if exactly 6 die in duels this week,
the whole city shall perish! Just remember...5 or 7!
Many and various are the arts of battle. In ARUAK CITY "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language! ARUAK CITY, city of gladiators! Mighty among
the names of thy guilds is BULLDOGS, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the
weekly duels. Apparently the stalwarts of WRATHMEN DM 20 are catching the bulk of
jests down at the challenging board for their large share of the avoids. Loose talk
at the arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters
are after HILDA. Watch your back!
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. My sources at COLORIFIC stable claim
they've never seen the guild bitterer. This as a result of the untimely demise of
GOLDEN GLOW. Beware HONEY BOO BOO! Walk proud, warriors of IMMORTALS! By striking
down GREY STREAK you have avenged the honor of your dead. Your virtue is known to
all in ARUAK CITY. Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears arms. One thing
is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? Ahh, but I can hear the spires of a far off
city calling to me. I must away! Till we meet again, remember: a turtle walks
slow, hides head in a shell, and harms no one; a lion runs to slay its prey.--

it's lively, and we carnival freaks do what we can to make it interesting. I bid you

Purple Poodle -- It is said Tsathoggua (the 'ts' is pronounced like 'tsar' or
'tsunami'--it's really not too difficult) comes to us from some other plane, the
lightless depths of a place called N'kai deep beneath the earth. There, I imagine
his name is roughly the equivalent of 'Jon' or 'Bob'. I didn't name him, nor have I
anyone on the team; they come to me already named and with all their baggage,
history, and tentacles in tow, and frankly I don't care if they're from the lightless
depths of the privy down the road. As long as the ones I enter into the arena lists
can fight, they could be named anything, really. D'endrrah is, I believe, from some
similar plane as Tsathoggua, as is her companion The Unclean One (a quiet chap of a
flesh golem, though he reeks to high heaven). When I asked Nobody You Know's name,
what do you think she said? "Nobody *you* know." So clever. So yes, strange names,
none of my doing, and what's it matter in the end long as they can fight? -- Nurgle
