TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Greetings All,
I've been asked to say some words about our new Team on this, our first ARUAK
CITY turn. I'm usually a man of few words, except to provide "incentive" to slacking
gladiators! So let me briefly say something about our team name and then I'll have
one of my fighters speak.
Our Team is called "Blue Steel." It is no coincidence that all our weapons have
a "blue" tint. There is a process to "toughen up metal," originated by the Dwarves,
I think, called, "Bluing." This is where the steel is partially protected from rust
using a special chemical process. The result is the creation of our strong, blue-
black weapons with their protective finish. It so happens that each of my fighters
must complete a similar "rigorous drilling process" that we call, "Bluing." It is
conducted by my Primus Apprentice and therefore each fighter can attest to many "blue
badges" received during training. No warrior of mine is allowed in the arena until
they receive their "Protective Finish" certificate. You may think this is rather
"childish," but please hold off your judgment until we meet in the arena in the weeks
and months ahead. I'm confident that this team will prove "tough as steel"!
As promised, I'd like to introduce our only Female fighter--Marag. She has a
few words (Psst .. Listen close, her accent takes a little getting used to)...

SPY REPORT
It's me, The Unknown Spymaster, back to give you this week's Spy Report. Sit
back in your seats and we'll have more fun than a barrel of Zontanis. Coming up with
a solid 3-1-0 outing, FLAGRANT FOWL has advanced 6 places in the rankings. THE
JOKER'S WILD is no joke as it posted a 4-1-0 week advancing from 7th place to 7th
place. Hey everybody, watch out for KEISHA, who flew up 18 points in the rankings
after mashing TICKLE ME TIGER like a melon. Keep your eye on this gal. And falling
like a basher in the top ten was UNCLEAN ONE, who dropped 15 points after a
disappointing (to say the least) bout with WAYNE. What does the Duelmaster and
Piltdown Man have in common? They are both the most challenged apes in human
history! Heyheyhey! UDDER DELIGHT got through to the Duelmaster this turn. No
doubt she was more than anxious to kick KOOCHIKOOCHIKOO's tail out of the throne!
It's a proud day for the BULLDOGS stable, as their warrior, UDDER DELIGHT, ascended
the Duelmaster's throne. Advice to bashers--never force anything, just get a bigger
halberd!
Let's dig a little deeper into what's happening in the ARUAK CITY arena. Here's
a song for you: Who's afraid of the big, bad BULLDOGS? Big bad BULLDOGS. Big bad
BULLDOGS. ARUAK CITY's afraid of the big bad BULLDOGS. Tra la la la la! Okay, so I
may not be funny, but catch CHAOS CARNIVAL's act in the arena. Those acrobats seem
to be fairly deft at running from BULLDOGS.
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! For those of you who missed it,
Death showed up, grabbed COW BELL by the ear and took it away to a place where it
won't need a coat. Knowing when to use the right tactics at the proper time is a
very important step on the road to Duelmaster.
Well, there's the manager of the ARUAK CITY giving me the 'cut' sign (or is that
'They're going to strangle you in the alley?). Okay, so I may not be the world's
best comedian, but then you guys aren't the world's best warriors. And remember, you
can pick your friends and you can pick your--(loud boos), oh, you've heard that one
