Notes from the arena champ.
Has any battle ever been more glorious or any victory more deserving of the
title of Duelmaster than mine? Who out there would ever dare challenge the mastery
of my gladiatorial art, the skill, the precision of my blows , the power with which I
cut to ribbons that Tiny Paul, I mean Undersized Simon, or is it Little John? No,
it's Peter! And a Short Peter at that! The most miniscule little Peter, the tiniest
little Peter, the most undersized little Peter I've ever seen, brothel or no. But
that's no matter to me now, the issue at hand isn't small Peters or even smaller
Peters, the deal we're dealing with is Jondeaux and his concern about his small
arena. Like I tell all my clients, the size of the arena, how strongly they hit the
depths or lack there of, are unimportant compared to the size of their bank accounts
and social standing. And where are you and your warriors, Jondeaux? At the very
top, I assure you. Well, not quite the very top. Duelmaster that I am, I can look
around and see that your johns--I mean warriors--are nowhere near the top. But
they're still all out there paying as well as a NY governor, so why quibble?
Parmenides, you're avoided. I'll take a deep pocket over a rich mind any day.
So who's left? Hopefully a rematch with Short Peter, I've always preferred my men
that way.

Thankyouthankyou. It's great for me, The Unknown Spymaster to be back in
RIZTAB. Hope you enjoy the show. Oh, who am I kidding? I already got paid! HIGH
JINKS is no joke as it posted a 4-1-1 week advancing from 2nd place to 2nd place.
Hey everybody, watch out for NURSE PETRI, who flew up 16 points in the rankings after
mashing WILLIE THE RAT like a melon. Keep your eye on this gal. Ya know, some days
it doesn't pay to walk out on the sands. REPULSIVE ROGAN was overcame by ZAGGA THE
CLAW and drops 7 points. Our battling duelmaster MADAM Y has managed to hold the
title, fending off TARILISS' none too subtle advances. Better luck next time, SWEET
MAGIC. 4 out of 5 gladiators surveyed protect the body, so try and avoid aiming at
that location.
But enough of that bunch, let's get on to the wimps who like to avoid battle!
And hey, kiddies, those of you who didn't avoid DREAMERS, please raise you hand.
Wow. Does RIZTAB really have that many liars? For those of you who like math, try
this one: DREAMERS + Weapons That go Boom = CULTS-R-US + Avoid City. And who is
this PARMENIDES you ask, with 106 points and a 13-10-0 record. Ooh, the tales I
could tell! In a mismatch, our friend BROTHER ZOINK of CULTS-R-US got heroic notions
and challenged TIANNARY. What did it get him? A 2-6-0 record, that's what. Trading
many whacks on the head and a loss for 2 recognition points, BROTHER ZOINK shows that
a guy doesn't have to be good to get places.
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! Big woman! TIANNARY kills
BROTHER ZOINK. Who ya gonna fight next, TIANNARY--Minnie Mouse? I hope CULTS-R-US
has a good enough fighter to beat the snot out of TIANNARY. In the 'Oops, What Have
I Done?' category, SWEET BETSEY was mashed by PARMENIDES, who let SWEET BETSEY know
that killing members of DREAMERS is a no-no. Ask not the elves for counsel, for they
will say both yes and no. Silly buggers, eh?
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in RIZTAB have no
sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. C'mon, Leadfoot, let's make some
