                                      SPY REPORT

It's me, The Unknown Spymaster, back to give you this week's Spy Report. Sit
back in your seats and we'll have more fun than a barrel of Zontanis. We now have a
new top team for all of you guys to dogpile on. FOREIGN LEGION now holds the crown
and they are betting they can keep it. It looks like the guys(?) at FOREIGN LEGION
had a good week as they went 5-0-0 to put them in 1st place. I guess steroids help!
Hey everybody, watch out for RED FANG, who flew up 13 points in the rankings after
mashing SHIFTYEYED VOLUNTEER like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. And falling
like a basher in the top ten was ENCLOPLASMIC, who dropped 6 points after a
disappointing (to say the least) bout with DANISH PASTRY. Unlike most arenas, TIPPI
TURTLE managed to get his challenge off against the 17-22-1 CYTOPLASMIC. Going for
the gusto and coming up with aught but bloody knuckles was BIO WARFARE's CYTOPLASMIC,
who was turned away from the Duelmastership by TIPPI TURTLE. An apple a day keeps
the doctor away, but an onion a day keeps T.P.s at bay.
Let's dig a little deeper into what's happening in the TOBIR arena. Here's a
song for you: Who's afraid of the big, bad THE DEATH SQUAD? Big bad THE DEATH
SQUAD. Big bad THE DEATH SQUAD. TOBIR's afraid of the big bad THE DEATH SQUAD. Tra
la la la la! Okay, so I may not be funny, but catch FOREIGN LEGION's act in the
arena. Those acrobats seem to be fairly deft at running from THE DEATH SQUAD. Well
just about everybody wants a piece of CHICHI-HOOEY, who was this week's most
challenged warrior. Was it guts or an overtaxed mental capacity that had SPONGEBOB
challenge up 37 points in the rankings to take on GOLGI APPARATUS? A Carrion Bird
Sellout: SPONGEBOB 7-8-0 fights GOLGI APPARATUS 10-5-2. (BYOB) MICHAEL PALIN of
MONTY PYTHON had better have a good reason for challenging down 12 points in a
challenge which he won. I thought MICHAEL PALIN showed great skill and promise when
he beat ANDILLIA. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! Ask not the elves for counsel,
for they will say both yes and no. Silly buggers, eh?
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in TOBIR have no
sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. C'mon, Leadfoot, let's make some
tracks. Its been fun, and I'm sure you enjoyed it (boos). Now that I've got you
worked up for Snide Clemens, I'll be leaving-- The Unknown Spymaster

All -- Sorry for the lack of ads lately, I've been doing a lot of overseas trips and
have been on partial maintenance mostly. Will find a way to travel and send in ads
at the same time someday I hope. -- Seraphim

Burnt out Hippie -- The boss is out of town for a few days and I get my first loss.
Not that he uses avoids anyway. Good fight, now I have to explain to him why I lost.
Maybe I can blame maintenance. -- IT Stallion

Crack Baby -- Stay off the drugs, and tell your mom I said hi. -- Bwuce

E Coli -- You look ill. -- The Line

Michael Palin -- I forgive you, because your victory over me brought me my secret
admirer. I've always wanted to know my secret admirer (it isn't you), so, thanks.
Don't expect to see me around for a while, though. We're going away for a wild
weekend. -- Andillia

Red Blood Cell -- Hey, I was just, you know, checking to make sure you were present.
And you were. In fact, there were lots of you. Is this allowed? I didn't hire on
to fight myrmidons. -- Scruff
P.S. Very red. Quite scarlet, in fact.

Golgi Apparatus -- Heck. You really had to work for that one, as I had a CN of 15!
-- Ghost of White Fang

Shleprock -- Where have you been hiding, and whatever possessed you to come out of
hiding at this inopportune moment? You could've been killed out there, you know! It
happens. -- Chi-Chi Hooey

I don't LIKE guys with shifty eyes, okay? They make me nervous. You can never tell
what they're thinking, you can't even tell what they're looking at! They're
untrustworthy. Suspicious. Bad news, sooner or later. -- Gerbent
P.S. So better to bite 'em sooner.

Wong Way -- Gods, you had a winning record, and your manager sent you to the Dark
Arena? That's hard. Maybe you'll be reborn as a manager, and your manager can be
reborn as a gladiator, and you can send HIM to the Dark arena. -- the warriors at the

declared on V.C. by The Dark Knights, then war is also declared on The Dark Knights

a chance to expose ourselves (all interested parties contact me c/o The Barbarians:

4 September 2006
Civil War/The Crusades

The next edition of the Civil War series is to be held in Tobir, arena 14, beginning
November 25th with a round where all participating managers must DA all 5 of their
warriors; in addition all warriors must be prefixed with an A an F or a D in the
following manner: A-Broke Stroker or (A) Broke Stroker. Names simply beginning with
the letter of your federation will NOT count as properly prefixed! Existing teams
are welcome but no warrior who survives the DA who had prior Fight Experience (arena
or tourney) will be allowed to score or challenge into the contest teams. There will
be an equal number of teams set up for each of the three factions (Andorian, Free
Blades, and Delarquan) to create sides as equal as possible. This along with the DA
round should set up pretty equal footing for all managers. After the DA there will
be another round where you can either DA again or fight your new, or surviving,
warriors so they will be set up to challenge an opponent beginning on round 1. So as
a recap DA round, turn 0, then turn 1 it begins with the following rules:

The Civil War to be held in arena 14.
- The contest runs for 10-28 turns (barring ties).
- No tourney participation allowed. Teams with warriors participating in any
  tournament are disqualified.
- An even number of teams per faction worked out by the Faction Leaders. No later
  substitutions are allowed.
- If a manager brings in a second team and challenges into the contest he is DQ'd and
his side will fight one team short!
- Three factions will be participating: Andorian, Delarquan, Free Blades
- Everyone prefixes their warrior with A-, F-, or D- (No prefix = disqualification of
  the warrior)
- Turn DA: (The DA Round) November 25, 2006. Every warrior must DA. (Warriors not
DA'd on Turn 0 are disqualified)
- Turn 0: December 9th, 2006. There will be no scoring this turn it is meant to
allow for challenges on turn 1.
- Turn 1+: Scoring as detailed below
- Each team gets 1 point for defeating a warrior from an opposing team.
- Fights against warriors on your team do not generate points in any situation.
- The team with the most points each turn gets a Battle Point (if there is a tie for
the most points then no Battle Points are accrued)
- The first team to 10 Battle Points wins the war
- Managers of teams on the winning side each receive a +1 bonus potion to be used on
a warrior on their contest team. This must be applied within a month of the
conclusion of the contest and the team must have been active on the last turn of
  the contest.

Anyone wishing to participate, and feels they can probably stick around for the
duration (don't want to handicap a side, of course unforeseeable events cannot be
planned for), should either diplo me at THE DEATH SQUAD(63) in Tobir (arena 14) or
place a personal ad in the arena. You may also contact me via the Duel2.com boards!
Let me know which faction you would like to fight for! This contest is intended to
be open to ALL managers wishing to pit themselves against each other to try and
determine which faction has the best managers! -- Street Legal
