Notes from the arena champ.
Thank you, Midas. At least SOMEONE appreciates me.
Jorja said that if I could hold the title for another turn, I could do a REAL
column, not just The Personal. First, I want to clarify the name. People go around
making jokes about "Hori Bull." That's just a nickname derived from my REAL name,
which is Horemheb. Yep, I'm Egyptian, and not just any Egyptian, either. You see
this beard I have? It's a pharoah's beard. I thought of being Mesopotamian, but...
nah, the full beard might be easier than shaving and braiding for this pharoah's
beard, but it gets itchy. Besides, I like being a god-king. Better than just one or
the other, you know? Of course, I have to worry about assassination, but get real.
I fight in the arena. If I'm going to die, it'll happen, but at least I get to
defend myself instead of relying on a bunch of guards who might be ambitious enough
to take bribes. I'd stand behind Golden Flash, but he's such a shorty, it would do
no good.
If I'm still here next time, I'll tell you more.

I was going on vacation, see? Surf, sun... But what do those bums say? "Hit
the road, Debby Tonte. WILLAF needs a spyreport." Oh, well. Too bad, GOLDEN
GLADIATORS, but BLOOD ON THE TRACKS was just too good to be stopped. BATTLE FROGS
11-13 like really fought hard to move up to 4th from 7th. Way to go! What was the
name of that team who got 3-1-0 this turn for a total 44-38-2 you ask? (Sure) BLOOD
ON THE TRACKS' their name, and fighting's their game! MVP award for GINA
LOLLOBRIGIDA? CHUCKS' PINUPS' proud of her after beating MATTHILDA and getting 12
points. Talk about yer big time losers! MATTHILDA got smashed by GINA LOLLOBRIGIDA,
and lost 10 points! This Duelmaster is like something else! HORI BULL stopped THE
HIEROPHANT dead in his tracks! Is the Duelmaster really being a real snob to his
teammates? Don't ask me!
So just why would someone becomes a warrior anyway? It can't be for these
really neat Spyreports can it? BLOOD ON THE TRACKS was the most avoided team. Is a
44-38-2 record really that scary? Is there some deep dark secret why PANDORA'S
CARDS' been avoiding BLOOD ON THE TRACKS so much? Or is it just that they're too
scared? Like, is JANE MANSFIELD popular, or what? She was challenged the most in
all of WILLAF! She's got a 0-4-0, is that good?
What does a fighter fight for? I mean, the crowds don't give a hoot if someone
gets killed. Not after four more fights. Fight, fight, fight. Is that all you guys
can do?
