Notes from the arena champ.
Whoa! Mouse Noyle, you really are a mouse?! A 5'9" mouse! What happened? I
suspect the illegal use of magic is involved! What evil wizard turned you into a
mouse? Tell us and we'll see that he is properly punished. If possible we'll have
you turned back into your human form. I'm sure the Karnhorn authorities would be
interested in examining you and running tests. This is why magic in the Glorious
Empire is strictly controlled. This will not go unpunished!

SPY REPORT
Good day, friends and fiends, welcome to your friendly neighborhood spyreport.
I doubt ALJAFIR will ever be the same. WHEN EAGLES DARE stable has parlayed this
turn's 1-0-1 into a 3 space move up the rankings. This brings them up to 6th place.
Good work, guys! The HAMENDON ELECTRICAL guild has had a 4-1-0 turn and deserves to
be watched in the future. You never know where this kind of thing can lead. And
let's see, MCARTHUR fought FRATSFA SLAVE and gained 15 points and contributed to
HEROESANDFOUNDONES' 3-2-0. CAPT KIRCHNER has lost to TABETA UNIS, falling 7 points,
while helping make 82ND ILLINOIS a 0-2-0 turn. This week's Duelmaster bout was
between EAGLES LAIR and our Duelmaster SIGIL CAMISADO, making a challenge.
Somebody's not going to like this, (then again, somebody will), but our Duelmaster,
SIGIL CAMISADO, has died, and EAGLES LAIR has killed him. By the way, was that our
Duelmaster that I saw last night, cramped under the table at The Vile Vizier?
The crowd's roar, the smell of iron and leather, mixed with sweat, what more
could a warrior ask of life? Well, besides that. BALANCE OF TERROR has cause to
stand tall, as they were ALJAFIR's most avoided team. A smart manager knows this is
a team to beat. And avoiding BALANCE OF TERROR more than any other team we find
HAMENDON ELECTRICAL. ALJAFIR, are we going to accept, or respect this sort of thing?
Well, sports fans, take notice that CAPT KIRCHNER from 82ND ILLINOIS was ALJAFIR's
most challenged warrior this turn.
A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once. Wise men know this to
be true. A brave warrior does not carry a red shield, he has nothing to cover or
hide when the fight is over. Consider well.
Remember, blood on the purple robe does not change it from a purple robe. Dare
to fight bravely. Always good to rest in ALJAFIR, but never good to wear out my
welcome. Look for me in future turns. Until the sun next rises and my pen sets to
paper-- Alarond the Scribe

Sigil Camisado -- I see it very clearly, you are ANTI-MOUSE! This is unacceptable.
The world being what it is, Mice must and WILL triumph. Soon, there will be none but
Mice in the world, with a few humans we may keep around to amuse yourselves. Pets,
you know. Many a Mouse has kept a boy for a pet. It's a standard growth stage. --
Mouse Noyle
La Jinn -- I've got an idea, let's NOT duel! Let's go out and have fish and chips,
or something enjoyable along those lines. Who knows, we might start a whole new
trend! -- Tabeta Unis, having a tired day
Napoleon -- Ah, is that why you're a bit whiffy? The monsters in the bathtub are too
much for you, I suppose. (shakes his head sadly) You need a rubber ducky, they are
GUARANTEED to deter monsters in the bathtub, to the extent that a tub with a ducky
HAS no monsters. Of course, they--the rubber duckies--can get a bit demanding once
they settle in. Special food, days off, another ducky of the opposite gender for
companionship, on and on. But it's worth it. So far, anyway. -- Daron El
Forcas -- (cold look up and down) Your terror is unbalanced. Too much weight on the
right. You need to fix that and without delay, as unbalanced terror is an ecological
hazard. -- Vurzhal Ur
I draw the Convicted Assassin for a farewell fight? How boring. He's so hopeless.
-- Karo Lee
P.S. You'd think the Andorians would draw a lesson from that.
Ah, I knew it! Sigil Camisado is PICKING on me! Definitely Anti-Mouse. -- Mouse
Noyle
Eagles Lair -- For a Shewish giant, you fight very well. -- Quivra
Purple Heart -- Are you terrified yet? -- Etien Haxan
Vurzhal Ur -- Well I tried. And I so wanted a Shewish rug for my apartment. It
would go well with my decor. -- Forcas
17 July 2004
I am currently trying to put together a favorites chart for AD warriors. I
desperately need help with this. What I need are style, favorite rhythm (ex.:
hi/low), favorite weapons, and tactics. What would be great is if you could send me
a copy of the invite with the warrior's name, id#, and arena blacked out. This way,
I can verify that this is an actual warrior. Minis will work, too!
For those interested, I have both a challenge style vs. style and a match-up style
vs. style chart. There's about 250 fights calculated in these charts, and I'll be
happy to send a copy to anyone who asks. You can contact me (if you're a free world
player) at: Rick Stringer, Merit/East, SCI, P.O. Box 500, Georgetown, DE 19947-0500.
If you're in prison, just send a diplo to: Baphomet, Mgr. Knights Templar (568), DM
#47--North Fork. (I also have a lot of other charts and info for anyone who wants
it.) Thanks!
30 July 2004
The total number of fights calculated was reported as 250 fights. This is a
misprint. It should have read "over 2,500 fights." -- Baphomet
