SPY REPORT
It was a good day to be resurrected and all three of Talcama's recent Dead
Challenger TV's were listed in today's newsletter. MEET DEATH was actually
resurrected last turn, but fought this turn. Also active on the sands this turn was
CORAL BEAUTY. Both of these warriors won their fights. DRACO MALFOY was listed this
turn, but did not fight. MEET DEATH's victory awarded him 59 recognition points
making him by far the strongest contender for the throne next turn (and single-
handedly gave INANIMATE TOFU the Team on the Move award).
On the throne itself, LE PAIN DLG was seen preparing heavily last week for the
two active Challenger Champions, MARY and BRICKTOP. When these two were announced to
be fighting each other, LE PAIN DLG did not know what to do! He ended up losing to
the lowest ranked champion in a fight he was clearly not prepared to fight. SALT
will have his work cut out for him to maintain his position on top. The loss, while
not causing LE PAIN DLG to move off the hottest warrior list, did cause a two class
recognition drop and Talcama's throne continues to be dominated by short reigns (two
turns or less). SALT, while not qualifying for the hottest warrior list, is unbeaten
in his last 7 fights.
There are two new hot warriors standing on the sands! BARBU of the BIG MEAN
FISH and SINDARION of the UNTOUCHABLES both find themselves at 7-3 over the last ten
turns. They join an elite list which currently includes LE PAIN DLG, GROBRAUM, and
DAVE (who are all also 7-3 over the last ten turns).
No stable was able to win 4 fights this turn. 17 warriors moved up a
recognition class while 6 dropped down a class (or two). No deaths this turn other
than in the Dark Arena, where there were 13 deaths from 8 teams. The real surprise
was SULDAR, who I forgot to report last turn was able to kill a Dark Champion during
the food fight. He had available the same arsenal of weapons last turn as the rest
of those in the Dark Arena, but surprised the Dark Champion by being particularly
vicious with a serving spoon. I don't know what weapon he carried into the arena
this turn, but the High Elf was not surprised and SULDAR was not victorious.
8 Warriors made 15 avoids towards 10 teams this turn. WASTELAND was avoided 3
times (more than any other team). Two of those avoids came from PENARCHIE-18
warriors. The most challenged warrior this cycle was the youngster TIBERIUS.
LONGSHOT got his challenge through and won the fight. As is so often the case, down-
challengers did well with a 5-3 record and up-challengers did poorly with a 3-6
record. The even-challenger lost.
Before I go, I must report on the undefeated streaks currently going on. I am
not very consistent at reporting these, but I will try harder. LEONIDAS has started
his career with a stellar 7-0 record. Another win or two and he'll have a real test
to keep it going as he'll be a champion by then. STU PENDOUS has carried his 5-0 up
into the Adepts class. Down in the Initiates class, there are BIP and LONGSHOT who
are both respectably 3-0, but the warrior to watch is MR THIRD TIME who is 4-0 with
only 15 recognition points. By simply repeating his performance, he could be 8-0

Hammer 500-Hammer Run for the Roll Ups

Niytyole Island DM 33 has dwindled to the point where as of T-482 [duedate
November 3, 2004] there were only 2 active stables listed with 3 inactive stables in
a once thriving and lively regular arena.
During the past 40+ cycles Hammer has been hosting the Hammer Run for the Roll
Ups in DM 33.
Thus far only the Ripper and Slasher categories have produced winners to claim
the 5 New Team Roll Ups Prize for being the first declared Style Master of their
respective categories to graduate.
Every contending stable has gone inactive for one reason or another, including
CASINO HAMMERZ, over the past several months.
Now DM 33 faces the harsh reality that if RSI chooses to close any arenas due to
little or no interest, Niytyole Island could very well head the list of endangered
regular arenas!
In an effort to preserve his beloved island, Hammer is announcing the
continuation of the Hammer Run for the Roll Ups; combined with the Hammer 500 which
will conclude both contests on T-500 [duedate July 13, 2005] should DM 33 continue to
remain open in the coming months.

Declared in the P-ads On or Before their First DM 33 Basic Arena Fight to Qualify as

Should this effort fail to spare DM 33 from deletion, then Hammer is prepared to
