DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Talcama, I wish to speak, and as Duelmaster that is my right. I sit upon this throne
and can almost hear the whispers of its history echo in the halls, finding my ears
and causing much thought. I am young, not as young as I would like to be, but young
enough to enjoy that which beckons to me. Perhaps I am impulsive, perhaps I am just
cruel, or perhaps I am just angry enough to justify my actions. These are indeed
questions to be pondered, and I have the time to ponder each.
My team has placed many warriors upon the throne over the years, but always in our
native land of Delarq Tor, I am the first in our new home here in Talcama, but I
remember many who came before me. I look to The Racist, a superb practitioner of the
slashing style, to set the bar for me. I championed the cause of The Necrophiliac as
he held the throne with a grip of cold death, not allowing any to sit upon what is
our right. I could never forget the irrationality of The Flasher, the youngest of
our group to hold the right to call himself Duelmaster. Yes, our successes have been
numerous and there have been many others, each of them now fighting in a far away
land.
Reflecting I feel I should respect my position and the history behind this throne
here in Talcama, the very history that Chunky Superdude alluded to in his last
address to the crowd. However; I crossed blades with the Chunk one last time and was
elated to look down upon his whimpering and beaten body, I must confess that a small
smile escaped my lips as I slid my blade into his vitals, then quickly placing my
hand upon his forehead and staring deep into his eyes to watch the last of life
trickle from his body. I killed your best, and now I am the best. I am not going
anywhere, if you believe you are better, than we shall cross swords. My only regret
is that I did not kill the Chunk a single turn earlier; this would have prevented him
from escaping to immortality, for this I may never forgive myself. I earned that
kill; his life was mine to take. It is due to this anger and resentment that in a
fit of rage I destroyed your precious storied throne. The Duelmaster throne of
Talcama is no more, it is naught but broken strands of memories littered about a hall
that offered me no solace. This may anger you, and it may not, I care little, for
here I am. Take from me what you wish to have yourself, but dare not speak softly
and do carry a large club, you will indeed need it.

SPY REPORT
Ready for some action-packed adventure, some thrills, chills and spills? Well
fergit it, cause this is the Spyreport for TALCAMA. Uncool, HEAVYMETAL KIDS. I mean
0-0-0 is bad. Will they will be allowed to fight? I say use 'em for training
practice! The guys at CAROLINA BLUE like really pulled together to get a 2-2-0 this
turn, moving up by 3. One team deserves special mention 'cause they moved up 2 after
going 4-1-0. Keep it up, HELP WANTED! MVP award for CHARNEL? RUN AND HYDE's proud
of him after beating VARIABLE and getting 29 points. Talk about yer major upsets!
BUBOLA's match with LOWELL HALE cost her a loss of 8 points! The Duelmaster isn't
going to stop just cause he's Number One! HEXALUS knows this. It was challenged by
the Duelmaster. Don't you think the Duelmaster is being unfair? I think THE
PEDOPHILE should let HEXALUS be Duelmaster for a while, without fighting about it.
Is the Duelmaster really being a real snob to his teammates? Don't ask me!
AAARRGH!!! I HATE SPYREPORTING!!! Sorry. I just had to say it. IMPURE
THOUGHTS was TALCAMA's most avoided team. Is there some award for that? Hhmph!
What kind of warriors are WASTELAND? IMPURE THOUGHTS, an easy team to beat if I ever
saw one, can't get them to accept an invitation! Like, is THE FORNICATOR popular, or
what? He was challenged the most in all of TALCAMA! He's got a 1-1-0, is that good?
WOLF CICHLID is being unfair. It's challenged down 20 against DATA LOSS. I don't
know why they let this stuff go on. (I'd better shut up) Is this how BIG MEAN FISH
advances, by having their members (WOLF CICHLID) fight people that are really below
them (DATA LOSS)? Speaking of challenging 41 points above did you hear about THE
CRUSHER of NEXT GENERATION vs. ARROGANCE's 'SLOSHERS? (And how was that intro!) THE
CRUSHER was so studly out there in the sands! Beating 'SLOSHERS and getting 20
points. NEXT GENERATION must be proud, for sure! Ooh! Did COUNT IN THE CELLAR
really know what she was doing when she challenged MICHAEL JORDAN? A 12-6-0 speaks
volumes. (Zontoni said that. I don't know what it means.) Like, was that some
fighting on COUNT IN THE CELLAR's part, or what? And she got 28 points out of it!
(besides getting in my report) Poor MICHAEL JORDAN. See if I ever talk to THE
PHILANDERER again! GAD was so low when He challenged he. Hhmph! THE PHILANDERER
beat GAD. No surprise about that. Really I'm not surprised THE PHILANDERER would do
such a scummy thing, either.
What does a fighter fight for? I mean, the crowds don't give a hoot if someone
gets killed. Not after four more fights. It was kind of sad, seeing old VARIABLE
stumbling around the arena, before CHARNEL finished it off. Oh well! What if they
had a fight and nobody showed up? I'd be out of a job, that's what!!!
I really didn't, you know, study when I was a kid. Who would've guessed I'd be
a famous Spyreporter? I gotta leave. TALCAMA is like such a dump, and you guys

In accordance with those rules set forth by the Lady of the Realm, I hereby announce
the formation of a small group of managers calling themselves "The Outsiders". The
group consists of the following members:
Doc LeGrande
Apex
Street Legal
Carnage
Ghoti
Roadkill
Valamond
This group has only one rule. Respect the play of the managers of this
alliance. We have no worries about not playing by the rules set forth by others. We
fight the way we like, and all those in this group appreciate what tools each manager
brings. We have managers from the Delarquan, Andorian and Free Blade regions. We
have managers that focus on the tournament arenas, and we have those that focus on
the regular city arenas. We have those in our ranks that fight with honor and
respect for all, and we have those that have a bloodlust that cannot be quenched.
Our goal is simple. To create a ensemble of managers that will show their
prowess in the land of Alastari, and to bring a new level of competition to all those
that share the sands with our warriors. Our warriors are many throughout the land.
We have no home arena. We have no pacts we abide by. Our fighters range from
Mordant to Talcama, from Lapur to Lyratilan, Aruak City to Valamantis, the Primus
arena to Talahya, and many more arenas throughout the land.
Whether we are sought out or ignored makes no difference to us. We are what we
are. We fight how we fight. And we do it however we wish. We have no rules. We
have no leader or ruler. Be prepared. We are.

pretty words mean less than nothing if you won't fight. EVERY Dark Knight is more
