DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Mystic would like to (albeit reluctantly) turn this column over to his
illustrious manager, Jekyll, this cycle....
A stand-in?!?!?!? Is that what the "Unholy City" has come to? Your Duelmaster
must fight a stand-in two turns in a row now since reclaiming the throne from
Noachian's pud four cycles ago?!?!? Rubbish!!! Speaking of Noachian...as I foretold
last cycle, Noachian, his warriors, and of course his false God Kjarran are once
again showing their true colors. They like to thump their chests in victory whenever
they win a small battle here and there, but once again when I, the Champion of the
"Unholy City", defeat Kjarran's false prophet, Noachian, they go into hiding. Where
are you, foolish ones...where are you? This arena has really fallen on hard times it
seems.... Only seven warriors participated last cycle for a grand total of five
fights...(there were three stand-ins of course)...two of which were mine. This arena
appears to be in danger of the Commission shutting it down which would be a shame and
a travesty. The Holy City was destroyed and rebuilt to the "Unholy City" where it
prospered for many years. Yet what has happened to it lately? I know not. My
warriors and I will be taking a brief respite until after the Halloween Grand
Tourney, thus Mystic will be abdicating his throne. If the arena is still active and
existing after the Tourney, or if Kjarran and his followers rear their ugly heads
again...whichever comes first...I will return as I always do...granted I may take
sabbaticals from time to time, but my rebirth home is Zuwayza and always will be. I
sincerely hope that one day the city and arena will return to its days of glory and
when it does once again I will be sitting on top until it all falls down again....
Keep the peace, "Unholy" citizens...I shall return soon....

Well, what are you looking at, ZUWAYZA? Ain't you never seen Snide Clemens
before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. Of course, we're all terribly impressed
to see CHAOS win a fight and gain 17 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, VIN DIESEL beat
MISCHEF and MISCHEF lost 1 points. You're breakin' my heart. Due to absence, and
inability to defend the throne, MYSTIC has lost the Title of Duelmaster. Start
setting that alarm earlier! And it's out with the old, in with the new, as CHAOS
takes the Title and last week's bar tab from the old Duelmaster. Heh, heh. The
Drunken Ox, humph! I've tasted better ale at mortuaries. Where do they get this
stuff? From ZUWAYZA's trash dumps?
My mother always told me, 'If you don't have anything nice to say, start
talking.' I loved that woman.
Some people like volunteer work in the hospitals. I volunteer for ZUWAYZA's
morgue. More variety. Titanium shields and bamboo daggers, guess what brave team is
developing these kinds of weapons?
What does the ZUWAYZA arena have in common with the inns? It's just as
comfortable to sleep in either place. Ha ha ha ha! Well, I've had enough of this
drivel, and I'm sure you have too. Off like a dirty shirt of padded leather. Glad
