SPY REPORT
Good day, in ZUWAYZA a quiet thief gets rich, but a quiet spymaster gets poor.
So bring me ale and harken to my tidbits of news. It seems the training can make the
difference, as THE MAGNIFICENT MAGS is pushed out of top team by FUNKY FOLK, who came
from 3rd with a 4-1-0 this turn. The JAGUAR WARRIORS guild has had a 3-0-0 turn and
deserves to be watched in the future. You never know where this kind of thing can
lead. And let's see, DEO VOLENTE fought SPORTS III and gained 15 points and
contributed to JAGUAR WARRIORS' 3-0-0. SPORTS III has lost to DEO VOLENTE, falling
12 points, while helping make THE MAGNIFICENT MAGS a 1-4-0 turn. The attempts to
dethrone the Duelmaster have failed, and SUE SHEE remains ZUWAYZA's top warrior for
another turn. Can someone confirm a rumor for me? I hear the top team makes their
losing fighters do dishes at The Drunken Ox until they win. Maybe?
He who challenges well, fights well. He who avoids without cause, shall lose
for good reasons. My mama told me that one. DRAGON JUNKIES has cause to stand tall,
as they were ZUWAYZA's most avoided team. A smart manager knows this is a team to
beat. And guess who avoided DRAGON JUNKIES stable the most? Believe it or not, it
was FUNKY FOLK. Anyone surprised? The most challenged warrior this turn was FUNKY
FOLK's warrior LEW SIFFER. More fighters challenged him than challenged the
Duelmaster!
We only live a short time in this world, so why not take a sharp blade, and
shave it close? A brave warrior does not carry a red shield, he has nothing to cover
or hide when the fight is over. Consider well.
I like this place, ZUWAYZA, the taverns have old wine, and young serving girls.
Who could ask for more? Well, I'm burning daylight here in ZUWAYZA and I've a long
road ahead of me. Happy Trails. Until the sun next rises and my pen sets to paper--
Alarond the Scribe

Modern Maturity -- I'm not ready yet. I think I'll go back to the initiates and pick
on them for awhile. -- Ved Buens Ende
Sports Ill -- You are getting better. Time for me to avoid you. -- Deo Volente
Cooking Lite -- You had me beat. It's funny how a fight can turn in the last second.
Or is that the last hit? -- Heded Hag
Hot Rod -- Looks like you need some body work. Want me to even out the dents? --
Hideki Hao
Guy -- My luck is turning. Looks like I'm gonna be the loser on this team. --
Matarse Fury
Hot Rod -- Sorry. Jill Oppy is driving me around this week. -- Deo Volente
Ved Buens Ende -- You're progressing nicely, sonny, but you're still not grown up
yet. Keep working on it, eh? -- Modern Maturity
P.S. But please, NOT the pineapple! The very idea is repugnant. That might merely
be the spikiness, but I don't think so. That sugar-and-acid taste, too. So, leave
it out.
Matarse Fury -- What a babe! I like my women full of passion, and you qualify. --
Guy
P.S. I dunno, I don't see anything wrong with pineapple if it's RIPE. What I object
to are the mushrooms. Mushrooms are pointless.
P.P.S. And rubbery.
Deo Volente -- Pfah! Mushrooms, pineapple, what nonsense! I'm sure you agree: as
long as there's plenty of garlic, nothing else matters. -- Sports Ill.
P.S. Well, maybe not NOTHING, but other factors are of less importance.
Hideki Hao -- (scowling) My teammates have no IDEA of the suitable topics of
conversation. Mushrooms, pineapples, garlic. I cock a snook at 'em. The only
really important thing is getting the flat fixed. Tomorrow, first thing, and no more
dillydallying. -- Hot Rod
Heded Hag -- Don't listen to them. They're all being quite nonsensical. Cut corn,
that's the ticket. But NOT the wine and sugar. (shudder) Definitely not dwarf
marshmallows. -- Cooking Lite
Ved Buens Ende -- Only stuffed in the nicest way, of course. The BEST butter. --
Modern Maturity
P.S. For skills, you must be sober and pay attention.
Deo Volente -- Yeah, I put in some carb cleaner. It helped.
Hideki Hao -- A hearty meal is a fine thing, but surely you don't want to eat it in
the dark? -- Cooking Lite
Ed. -- Of COURSE not chocolate and raw fish! The only thing that can properly be
added to raw fish is heat. Once it's no longer raw, maybe lemon juice. -- Cooking
Lite
Ah, and pepper too. -- Ed.
Ed. -- Does the "barber pole" look for the Captured Orc mean we get to take daggers
and shave him close? That could be fun. For us. -- Sports Ill.
P.S. No, not curry. It's got so much other stuff in it you can hardly taste the
garlic.
You'll have to take that up with him. -- Ed.
P.S. Let us just agree to disagree on the curry issue.

A few notes about e-mailed personals:
You may submit personal ads, columns, spotlights, etc. electronically, either via e-
mail to ads at reality dot com (which doesn't need any more spam, thank you) or on
the web at http://www.reality.com/duel2/modules.php?name=Ads. When you submit
something, you should get back a receipt from HAL at RSI. If you do NOT get a
receipt, your ads may have gone astray (not all e-mail makes it to its destination
any more than all snail mail does). If you DO get a receipt, it should, in the body
of the message, tell you what arena your stuff was filed in. Check your receipt to
make sure your submission made it to the intended destination. Also check to see
that everything you sent made it to the same place. Sometimes HAL, who is rather
simple-minded in some ways, will send half your stuff to another arena if the name
or number of that arena shows up at the beginning of a line. So if the word Ti
appears at the beginning of a line halfway through your ads, all the ads after that
may end up in Ti, which is closed and doesn't need ads. As a side note, sometimes
things move slowly, so don't wait until the last minute to send your ads and all.
If they get held up along the way, they may not show up until next turn. Happy
writing! -- Ed.

We of the Desolate Empire Alliance want to welcome two managers to our fold. Kon of
the Empire Rising, and Osiris! May they be blessed with the blood of their enemies,
