                                 DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
                             Notes from the arena champ.

Ha, ha! I'm your duelmaster! I'm not surprised. My Lord Kjarran has blessed
me. And there is nobody around who can take the throne from me. I don't plan on
graduating until I get my 5th kill. So that's what I'm looking for, kill number
five. So bring on your challenges, all you heathens with no kills. I'll teach you
how to kill! BWA HA HA HA!

Venenoso
Servant of Kjarran

                                      SPY REPORT

Like the magnificent Sun, rising upon the Dawn and exiling the Night for a Day,
I, Novgorodny Vir, return once again! Nothing is certain in ZUWAYZA, with changing
loyalties, changing Duelmasters. Write this down: new top team--JAGUAR WARRIORS.
THE MAGNIFICENT MAGS had cause to celebrate, after HOT ROD II got 22 points by
beating SOLSTICE. SOLSTICE certainly had a baffled expression on hers face, after
losing to HOT ROD II and losing 18 points in the process! WHITE CHOCOATE found out
that ZUWAYZA isn't a democracy. You've gotta be the best to be Duelmaster here! So
who's the team that's been walking into taverns last week and ordering milk? Sounds
like a PR stunt to me.
My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter.
But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights! Like a horde of jackals fleeing from
the lion, so did the "warriors" in ZUWAYZA avoid THE MAGNIFICENT MAGS. Like a pup
with its tail between its legs, TEAM CHAOS scurried away from THE MAGNIFICENT MAGS.
Oh, the shame! Everyone is famous for fifteen minutes, and EMYGDIA NILDA is it right
now. Most challenged warrior. Isn't TEAM CHAOS proud! TIMES found himself
challenged by a warrior 19 below: ISIS. ISIS of WALI'S FINEST kept hers wits as she
won victory over TIMES.
The moving sword slashes, and having slashed, moves on... Ask not a spymaster
for counsel, for he will pontificate long after you have fallen into an unconscious
stupor.
Leave me now, you base fools! More important duties call me. Like a mixed
metaphor, and an overtaxed simile, I now bid ZUWAYZA farewell-- Novgorodny Vir

                                     PERSONAL ADS

Rondol of Osksi, Convicted Assassin -- I am a Servant of Kjarran. Sacrifices are
needed to honor my Lord, Kjarran. I look forward to adding your blood to the Chalice
of Kjarran. -- Venenoso

Nifty Nickel -- Nice and quick. Just the way I like them. -- Matarse Fury

Black Belt -- You are one tough cat. Or are you a wolf? -- Serra Acaral

Marco Titanius -- Good fight. I need to change weapons. -- Akasai Chin

Emygdia Nilda -- Just one hit? What a boost to my ego. Thanks. -- Elemi Triangle

Matarse Fury -- Go ahead, rip my face off! See if I care! There are several
perfectly good faces advertised in my pages, any one of which I can get for a song (I
sing rather well). One of them might even be better than the one I've got now, which
was old anyway. I mean, I've been using this face for YEARS. Maybe it's time for a
change, eh? -- Nifty Nickel

Solstice -- What, already? No wonder I was behind the curve. I was still heading
for Samhain. (ruefully examining the wreckage) I can see I've got a lot of mechanic
bills coming up. -- Flight Journal, temporarily grounded

The Userous Merchant, huh! Have you SEEN what he drives? Even the Satrap, may his
breaks never fail on a curve, doesn't use an armored chariot. The Merchant's rig is
SOOO slow, he couldn't catch a cold. -- Hot Rod
P.S. Not even a COMMON cold.

The Userous Merchant's carriage does not concern me. If I am to make him Man of the
Week, I need to know the secrets of his financial success. The names of his silent
partners. Everything to do with his business, in fact. -- Times
P.S. You thought that the Man of the Week had to be admirable? Not so, just
remarkable, and there is no denying that the Userous Merchant has occasioned remark.

Serra Acaral -- For a small woman, you do rather well. I foresee a future for you,
if you survive the present. -- Black Belt, Mag of Few Words

Akasai Chin -- If you do, I will strangle you with my belt. -- Black Belt

Hot Rod -- Cast aspersions where you will, I have steady employment and can send home
a little to my dear old mother every two weeks. -- Harny Mock, tired old Captured Orc
of many years
P.S. And, of course, I am training up my nephew to take on the role when I decide to
finally quit.

Times -- I take "Dangerous Criminality" to new and deeper levels, which you will
discover to your cost. -- Marco the Blackhand, as Dangerous as they come

Venenoso -- Stingy! You should have let ME be Duelmaster for a change. I could give
real class to the position. -- Rondol of Osksi, Have Blade Will Travel

Hot Rod II -- Do not think to fob me off with that pathetic excuse. I don't care
whether you're One, Two, or Ninety-Three, you are the one who purchased those shock
absorbers, you are the one who wore them out driving over cobbled streets, and YOU
are the one who will pay for them. -- Lek Tormuz, Merchant and Moneylender

Times -- Why, yes, I would be delighted and honored to pose for a cover picture! In
my swimsuit, yes? -- Lek Tormuz, Merchant and Moneylender

Zilpan Zillar -- Some days I wonder why I ever bothered to leave Mordant! At least
they only had me work on the levees. Exhausted and mosquito-bitten is not so bad as
beaten and dead, I think, even WITH the "resurrection guarantee." They don't tell
you how much it's going to COST to get resurrected, when you sign the contract. Or
the little details such as, you die, you get resurrected automatically, no
consultation, and then hit with the bill so that you HAVE to keep working in the
arena in order to pay it off. A word of advice, kid: Never flee Mordant. You might
end up in a worse place. -- Kargedhaal the Wanderer, Fugitive from Mordant
P.S. Although if you could SEE Mordant as I have, you might find it hard to imagine
a worse place.
