SPY REPORT
Hello, my darlings! It is good to see you once again in the glorious city of Seam. A
lot has transpired in the land of Alastari since we last spoke. There was a
tournament or something. Then, Wilfred's Wonderful Wands had a supermassive store-
wide sale! I was able to pick up a few new toys. Oh, yes, we had some exciting duels
on the sands today too, and I can't wait to give you the highlights. So, without
further adieu, let's talk gladiator stuff!
We wrapped up last turn with Maguvial sitting upon the throne. He has been the
reigning Duelmaster for the last 2 turns. This turn we witnessed Maguvial fighting
Gilgamesh of Deities and Demigods for the coveted seat. And (drum roll, please.....),
we have a new champion! Gilgamesh defeats Maguvial in an exciting 2 minute title
bout. Congrats to Deep Thought and Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh also takes over as
Recognition Leader. The fans are certainly happy that Gilgamesh is on top. He has
been the most popular warrior in the arena for the last 11 turns.
The most avoided team this turn is I'm Not Eggbert. First in line to thwart their
well-laid plans of arena domination we find Darque Knights. What is the deal, Darque
Knights? Cardhu stands as the most challenged warrior this turn. Cardhu is currently
entangled in a bloodfeud with Philanthrolords after killing Mercyfletcher last cycle.
In a battle of Challenger Champs, Bumble Rumble feuded Cardhu to seek a little
vengeance. Bumble Rumble won and avenged his fallen comrade. The question we all ask
now is will Philanthrolords continue the feud or consider their vengeance satiated?
There were 5 deaths this turn, but only one of them came on the regular sands and that
against an arena stand by. I know, I know, no life is insignificant, but talking up
Incompetent Punk as if he were anything other than an incompetent punk is questionable
journalism. Darque Knights, Huckle's Cats, and Losers all sent warriors to the DA.
Darque and Huckle's offerings were raw recruits, so here is hoping their recruitment
efforts prove more profitable for next cycle. The Losers guild sent two, a 0-2 and a
4-7-1, into the night fights.
Deities and Demigods shove Philanthrolords out of the top spot with a 5-0-0 turn. The
aforementioned Philanthrolords slipped to the 2 spot with a 4-1-0, which seems odd,
but the battle for number 1 was tight! Darque Knights dropped to 3rd after going 1-4-
0, which ties them for worst turn 25 with Lost Sentinels. Deities and Demigods 4
place jump was the largest of the turn, while I'm Not Eggbert and Pixelbenders 2 spot
falls tie for the biggest drops. Overall, there isn't much movement to speak of in
the rankings. There were 4 inactive teams this turn, all of which we hope will return
to us at some point in the future.
It is time to wrap up this report, my loves. I look forward, as always, to seeing you
next cycle. Some advice for you fighting men and women, let the armor air out this
week. The aroma in this place already suffers from the regular blood, sweat, and
tears of gladiator fighting. There is no need to add body odor and the various other
indescribable smells to the mix. If you truly need it, I'm sure I can whip up a
potion that simulates a bouquet of flowers. Better yet, a spell that eliminates the
odors completely! I'll get to work on that one right now, so until next time!
