SPY REPORT
Greetings and welcome to Seam, a geographically-scarred jewel situated in the
northern reaches of the Aruaki Clanhold. For those that are new to the area, might I
suggest you tour the local sites. Points of interest include the Temple of Demnat
near the city's center and for those that enjoy natural wonders, you should go see the
Great Fissure which gives our city its name just north of the city gates. I highly
recommend one of our many bath houses too if you enjoy being pampered. Our
rejuvenating hot springs are famous throughout all of Alastari. Of course, my
pretties, if you enjoy this kind of thing, you could also stop by our wonderful arena!
It is one of the most happening places in all the city! Speaking of which, let's talk
about the fights for a bit!
Cpt. Buzzy, Connoisseur of the Honeys, leaves us for bigger and hopefully better
things. He decided to face the Dark Arena for his final fight in Seam before heading
to the Isle of the Eye. He goes out with a bang... or maybe a slice, as he kills
Swine Golem. With the throne vacant, there were many jockeying for key positions and
recognition. Cardhu makes a most bold challenge against Brn Von Speedster. I say
bold because it was 61 points up in the rankings. It took him 3 minutes and I'm sure
more than a little physical persuasion, but Cardhu makes Brn Von Speedster concede the
fight. Cardhu also becomes our newest Duelmaster. Thirsty Thugs are no strangers to
the throne, especially since Smokehead held it for 11 turns, but this is Cardhu's
first (and last) time to sit on the big seat. With his win and ascension, Cardhu gets
his invite to the Isle. Congrats to him and his manager, DMobster.
There isn't much to report in the death department this cycle. All the deaths
came via the Dark Arena, the most interesting being Hombre's braggetory-named "WT PLUS
WL = 7." I'm confident I may have dated that guy at some point. Actually, that could
describe a long list of ex-boyfriends. My golem just corrected me and said I missed
that a Polite Beggar was slain in the regular arena. I stand by my original assertion
that there isn't much to report in the death department. Anyway, the most avoided
team this turn was Thirsty Thugs and they were avoided most by 7th Sanctum. Not much
death, but lots of revenge taking place in the arena, particularly from Pixelbenders.
They avenged the deaths of their teammates, Die Cut and Smudge Stick, against Karma
and Visigoth.
A few changes in the team rankings for turn 32. The top 3, Philanthrolords,
Losers, and Darque Knights remains unchanged. Entering the top 5 are 7th Sanctum, who
jumped up 4 places to 4th, and Thirsty Thugs traded places with Huckle's Cats to take
over 5th. Lost Sentinels fell 6 spots down to 10th with Deities and Demigods slipping
out of the top 10 to 12th after a 1-2 turn. We welcome Commercialist to the arena
with a strong 4-1-1 beginning. Introduce yourself and get to know the locals. See
the local tourist sights, then come talk to me and I'll tell about all the secret
local places to avoid the tourists!
We have two more graduates this turn. The aforementioned Cardhu is the 2nd
Thirsty Thug from Seam to head off to the Isle. He is also the first Slasher for the
team. Joining him on the journey will be Darque Knights' warrior, Maguvial. He is
the 2nd graduate for the Darque Knights stable, their first Parry Strike, and the
first Parry Strike to graduate from no-tourney Seam. Congrats to DMobster, who
manages Thirsty Thugs, and to Master Darque, who manages Darque Knights. Currently on
our Graduation watch list, we have Foot Golem, Kininvie, and Pittyvaich. It may yet
be a few more turns before we see any of them leave us, but they have certainly caught
the eye of those that make such decisions.
I must be going, my darlings. As I was writing about the hot springs and bath
houses, I decided I must simply rush over to one for the evening. I especially need
one now that I have read Cpt. Buzzy's departing words. I am a good witch, so cursing
him is out of the question. Maybe I will just bless everyone around him! Yes, that
