TEAM SPOTLIGHT

Hammer assembled his new Ah Tongues Of Fire stable of Kannari and Shagornan Elf
bred Half Elves in the hidden natural arena, deep beneath the rocky crags where his
new resort pandered to the rich and wealthy travelers who were lured to the city of
Seam, willing to spend their gold to experience the luxuries of the hot springs and
fiery geysers at the Tongues Of Fire Resort. Kannari are considered to be vicious,
ruthless warriors; whereas, Shagornan Elves are known far and wide to be quick and
fierce in battle. Hammer was hoping these five warriors would exhibit the traits of
both races, as they prepared to do battle in Seam Arena under the banner of the Ah
Tongues Of Fire stable.
Patrons of the Tongues Of Fire Resort were placing wagers on the five warriors:
Who would be the first to die? Who would record the first kill? Who would be the
first to graduate from the Seam Arena? Would an as yet unknown replacement graduate
ahead of these original five?
On and on the wagers were placed: Who would be the first Adept? Challenger
Adept? Who would be the first Champion? Challenger Champion? Who would be the first
Duelmaster in Seam Arena from the Ah Tongues Of Fire stable? One of the original five
or a replacement warrior?
Roobahiah was an immediate favorite among the patrons of the Tongues Of Fire
Resort, as was Eliamahgondah. Both male warriors were seen flirting with the women
patrons and would often disappear for hours at a time, somewhere with someone in a
secluded hot spring bath. Frettyah was a favorite among the female warriors as an
odds-on favorite to contend for the title of being the first Ah Tongues Of Fire
Duelmaster in Seam Arena, if she could somehow find a way to climb the ranks ahead of
Roobahiah. However, the most interesting among the wagering was the heated contest
between the female twins: Ahshondai and Ahshondalai; specifically, which of the two
would outlive the other?
Hammer was glad to see such enthusiasm among the patrons of his Tongues Of Fire
Resort, especially as the gold and precious gems flowed into its coffers, to help
recruit more warriors for the secret army the veteran manager was building to oppose
the gathering forces of darkness.
SPY REPORT
Hello, my pretties! Sidara Brightbell here to bring you all the news that is
worth reporting for turn 37. I have taken my furs from storage in preparation for
winter. A complete waste of time as we have been hit with a streak of warm weather.
I do dislike it when nature interferes with my fashion options. I will give it
another week or two, then I may resort to magic. Enough about my wardrobe! You came
here to get arena news, so let's get to it!
A new turn and a new Duelmaster! There is never a dull moment in this arena and
never a lack of effort to seize the throne. PITTYVAICH left for the Isle and left the
throne open for the taking. SIF was the Chartered Recognition Leader last turn and a
likely candidate to take the throne if PITTYVAICH won his final bout (which he did).
PROF. MONKEYPANTSNUTS (henceforth known as THAT WEIRD GUY) tried to slip back into the
throne by challenging SIF. Proving once again that execution is more important than
planning, THAT WEIRD GUY failed miserably as he was defeated in a 1 minute fight.
Congrats to SIF and the DEITIES AND DEMIGODS guild for the honor.
The most avoided team for turn 37 was LOST SENTINELS. Who avoided them the most?
How kind of you to be paying attention! THIRSTY THUGS get the dubious honor for the
cycle. The most challenged warrior was MINNESOTA JONES of I'M NOT EGGBERT. SUNRISE
VICTORY was the lucky, or rather unlucky, winner of that challenge raffle as he lost
to MINNESOTA JONES in an exciting 1 minute match.
There was some movement in the rankings as we THE OUTLAWS 3 take over the top
spot from THIRSTY THUGS. THE OUTLAWS 3 impressive 4-1-1 turn contributed to their
ascension, while on the flip side of success, THIRSTY THUGS fell after a 1-4-0 effort.
The best record for the turn belongs to DEITIES AND DEMIGODS with a 5-0-1, which moved
them into the top 5. COMMERCIALIST and DARQUE KNIGHTS remained unmoved at 2nd and
4th, respectively. PHILANTHROLORDS move up 2 spots to 3rd. A single win separates
teams 2 through 4 from the top spot, but it may be the kill total that determines our
top team next cycle. THE OUTLAWS 3 had the biggest gain with a 5 point leap, so
congratulations to Gunsmith and his gang. The biggest drop belongs to THIRSTY THUGS
who fell 5 places to 6th.
Six deaths for the turn with an equal amount on the regular sands and Dark Arena.
AH TONGUES OF FIRE lost two of their Rookie warriors upon entering the arena.
ELIAMAHGONDAH fell to the blade of FRITO BANDITO, while his teammate, ROOBAHIAH went
down to rookie opponent BALDUR from DEITIES AND DEMIGODS. JASON THE MASON entered
this turn with a dreary 3-6-0 record. He left the arena permanently this turn as he
fell to PEARL HEART of THE OUTLAWS 3. Condolences to those that lost warriors, and
good luck to those who will be involved in feuds for the next 4 turns!
We bid farewell to PITTYVAICH, who has fought his last bout in Seam. He randomly
matched up with PLUCKER & BLOAT of PIXELBENDERS. PITTYVAICH now heads to the Isle of
the Eye for more training, and best of all, immortality! Joining him soon will be SIF
of DEITIES AND DEMIGODS! SIF got the call from the Commission and has entered the
ranks of Alastari's other Lord Protectors. Congrats to SIF, who is managed by Deep
Thought.
As we conclude, I want to welcome Hammer and his new AH TONGUES OF FIRE guild to
