Hammer finished congratulating his Ah Tongues Of Fire guild for their Awards for
First Place in 'Teams On The Move' as well as for being the 'Unchartered Team' on
Turn-39.
He also congratulated Ahshondalai for being recognized as the 'Unchartered
Recognition Leader' on Turn-39.
The veteran manager also spent a few quality moments with each individual warrior
before leaving his Tongues Of Fire Resort for parts unknown.
Frettyah was greatly encouraged by what Hammer had to say to her, in spite of her
0-3 record in Seam Arena, assured that her continued training during his absence would
bear some positive fruit towards adding some Wins to her already mounting Losses.
As Hammer was about to leave Seam for parts unknown on a mission shrouded in
mystery, a special delivery courier arrived in the nick of time, handing a parchment
addressed to Hammer from his old friend Master Darque.
It was a special invitation from Master Darque to consider locating a partner to
team up together as contestants among many in the upcoming Stormcrowe Slaughterhouse 5
contest hosted by the aforementioned Master Darque.
Hammer quickly sent out a dispatch to another old friend who might consider being
partners in the upcoming contest; unless his old friend was already committed to
partner with another manager. Then the veteran manager sent a reply back to Master
Darque that he would consider participating in the DM 45 contest, especially since
Turn 8 paid homage to the Morya Madness contest that Hammer himself had hosted in DM
28 many long years ago.
Finally, before employing his Elven Orb of Transport to begin his unknown journey
to another Reality, the veteran manager known far and wide across the regions of
Alastari as Hammer penned yet one more message to be dispatched to yet another one of
his faithful followers.
Hammer addressed one of his nearby Shagornan Elf helpers and implored her to
locate the one he sought and to give his faithful follower the parchment message that
he had freshly penned.
"See if you can locate Storm Crow," said Hammer to the shapely female Shagornan
Elf, "and hand over these instructions for assembling a New Team for the upcoming
Stormcrowe Slaughterhouse 5 contest in DM 45 during my absence from Alastari. I will
return as soon as my mission is accomplished, so tell Storm Crow that I will
personally travel to Stormcrowe Arena upon my return from another Reality, so I can
assess the guild members that Storm Crow should have assembled for registration as a
New Team in DM 45 before I return.
"Also, tell Storm Crow that I have written on the parchment the name of my New
Team guild and the guidelines for recruiting new warriors."
The shapely Shagornan Elf acknowledged her understanding of the assigned task
given to her to locate the one named Storm Crow and to hand over the parchment in the
name of Hammer.
Satisfied that there were no other tasks to be attended to at the moment, the
veteran manager held his Elven Orb of Transport aloft and disappeared in a brilliant
cacophony of colors and sounds as the veteran manager disappeared from sight.
SPY REPORT
Hello, my pretties! I know some of you are celebrating various festivities
throughout the land. Or rather, some of you were celebrating. I guess the better
greeting would be Happy Recovery days! Whether you celebrated any of the various
festivals or not, I send each of you greetings. I am, as always, excited to see you
at the arena. Let's get down to the business of the arena, shall we?
Melanroh has been a busy little bee as the Duelmaster. With all the requests for
autographs, interviews, and extra training, he was still able to post a challenge this
week to Xad Bronzewolf. Hindsight is always 20/20, but it is apparent to all that
Melanroh made the right decision with that challenge. He killed Xad in a 1 minute
fight and retains the throne. Still no invite to the Isle, but insiders at the
Commission report it should be coming soon! Congrats to Melanroh and his manager,
Aragorn! The Philanthrolords will be having another festival day!
The most avoided team this turn was Darque Knights. The great irony of this
distinction is they also had the turn's most challenged warrior in Xad Bronzewolf.
The team avoiding Darque Knights the most is I'm Not Eggbert. Comparing the two
teams' turns, it looks like I'm Not Eggbert came out ahead with a 3-2 turn, while
Darque Knights flounder with a 2-3 turn, also losing their most experienced warrior.
Advantage: I'm Not Eggbert.
I have already mentioned Xad's demise, probably the most high profile death in the
arena, and at the hands of the Duelmaster, no less. The only other non-Dark Arena
death saw another experienced warrior fall. Nuke of Losers died at the hands of That
Weird Guy (aka Prof. Monkeypantsnuts). Nuke was 10-9-0 going into the fight.
Congratulations to the winners, condolences to the dead, and luck to the avengers in
the coming turns!
Huckle's Cats takes over the top spot by the slimmest margin of 1 win after a 4-0-
0 turn, which begs the question why Jason the Mason sits idle in the Initiates?
Pixelbenders has cause to stand tall as they jumped 7 spots in the rankings, the
biggest gain for the turn, into the 2nd spot. Thirsty Thugs rise 2 spaces to 3rd,
while Philanthrolords fall out of the lead into 4th. I'm not Eggbert rounds out the
top 5. The biggest drop belongs to Deities and Demigods, who fell 8 spots to 10th.
I must bid you farewell. I have been enjoying quite a few festivals over the past
few weeks and I am currently in transit. I watched the matches via a scrying crystal
earlier. I am now sending my report to the SYP offices in Seam with the help of a
magical scribe spell I picked up in my travels to Aradi (strange place, that one).
