Notes from the arena champ.
It is I: The evil, bad scientist Professor Monkeynuts! I generally spend my time
working on my Scary Robot but my lenker rod is in for repair, so here I am.
Sara Dimwatt, you put the yellow in yellow and the ache in the Fake News. I am
managed by Eggbert, whom I don't know and not whomever this Vlad person is that you
speak of.
Minnesota Jones, who I actually don't know at all, indeed, never heard of him...
Anyway, with great vengeance and furious anger I avenged my brother and his loss to
Sore the Sad Basher. Important safety tip for you, friend Sore: Passing your Parry
certification is not really on your style's overachiever list, believe you me!
I know what you are saying to yourself, your saying "Self? Why is he calling the ex-
Duelmaster 'Sore?'"
Here's the rub: The problem is that poor Sore has a lisp. So, as the story goes, it
went a little like this:
Gladitorial Commission: "Name please."
Sore: "Thor."
GC: "Style?"
Sore: "I'm a Bather."
GC: "You take baths? Why do you smell like that, then, Thor?"
Sore: "I'm Thor!"
GC: "I bet you are, I'm getting thor just looking at you! Get outta here, ya bum."
Important safety tip for you, friend Sore: Passing your Parry certification is not
really on your style's overachiever list, believe you me!
Anyway, given the sludge that otherwise surrounds the throne and how much fun I had
with Sore, I'm going to go back for a heaping helping of Sore! But, before I do,

SPY REPORT
Good afternoon, my sweets! Wonderful to see you once again in Seam. We have had
an excellent cycle of fights this turn. I'm sitting at the tavern near the Temple of
Dunmat. There are a few celebrating their victories, while others are trying to drown
out the memory of their losses. Whatever the occasion, this is a fine establishment
that is well stocked with spirits and a reasonably knowledgeable staff. Oh, heaven's
me, I haven't mentioned the name. The place is called The Aftershock Tavern. If that
name confuses you, you haven't been in Seam long enough, but it will come to
understand. I promise. Onto the fights!
Prof. Monkeynutpants, or THAT GUY, took the throne last cycle from Thor. THAT
GUY did address the crowd this week, so kudos to him. In his address, THAT GUY made it
plain that he was going to challenge Thor once again. THAT GUY was true to his word
and posted a challenge to our reigning Popularity Leader. Same fighters for the Title
fight, but a different outcome as Thor takes back the throne from THAT GUY! Congrats
to Thor, who is managed by Deep Thought. The Challenger Champs is filled with worthy
competitors. Will Thor issue a challenge or take requests from those below him?
Before moving on, I want to congratulate Thor on receiving his invitation to the Isle
of the Eye! Well done, warrior!
The most avoided team in Seam was Losers. Thirsty Thugs avoided them the most.
Mona Lisa from Lost Sentinels was the most challenged warrior this turn. She is also
the arenas top rated Aimed Blow after a bout with King Tyrant of Devil Dinosaurs. The
golems were quite direct in their assessment saying King Tyrant was "demolished" by
Mona Lisa. Cartoon Chaos is our only missing team this cycle, leaving the door open
for Devil Dinosaurs to collect all of the Unchartered Awards. Those awards don't
always come that easy, so enjoy them!
There was very little movement in the team rankings this turn. Thirsty Thugs
remain at the top of the arena with a 10-5-1 record. The teams in the 2nd through 4th
spots decided to do a little musical chair number. Darque Knights fell to 4th while
Huckle's Cats and Lost Sentinels rose to 2nd and 3rd respectively. Devil Dinosaurs
made the biggest gains for the week rising 3 spots to 5th. On the downward slide we
find Deities and Demigods dropping 4 places to 9th.
Only 4 deaths this turn with the majority of them coming in the Dark Arena. The
Losers sent 2 to fight by torchlight and DMobster sent 1. The single regular arena
death happened in a match between the Devil Dinosaurs and Lost Sentinels guilds. For
a little history, I will remind you that Bad Penny from Lost Sentinels killed Mammon
Mammoth of Devil Dinosaurs on turn 43. Asmodeusaurus did not sit idly by while his
teammate's killer was out there in the arena. Asmodeusaurus posted a challenge to Bad
Penny, and well, let's just say that Bad Penny had a bad day. This became apparent
when Asomdeusaurus killed Bady Penny in a 1 minute bout. Ah, the cycle of vengeance
appears to be spinning heartily between these two squads. It will certainly be
interesting to watch as it unfolds.

anywhere. I just wish to get back to "testing the spirits" in this place. Join us
