SPY REPORT
Good afternoon, my darlings! Welcome to the Andorian splendor that is Seam!
Wallpaper or paint? This is the question that has been haunting me all morning.
Sure, there are more important things in the world to ponder, but this is my present
dilemma. Okay, it was an exciting turn and there is much to talk about, so let's not
delay getting to all the juicy news and scandalous tidbits.
Minnesota Jones took the throne last turn from Able Baker Charlie, and this turn
gave us a rematch between these two veteran warriors. Last turn, Jones took out
Charlie in an exciting 3 minute fight. It only took Jones 2 minutes this turn, and
Charlie couldn't hit him! Double congrats to Minnesota Jones on the throne and his
new title of Lord Protector. Jones is part of the I'm Not Eggbert squad, and they are
managed by one who may or may not be Eggbert.
The most avoided team this round was Devil Dinosaurs, and they were most avoided
by I'm Not Eggbert. I'm Not Eggbert appears to get the distinction of "avoiding the
most" quite often. One will note, they are the current top team though, so who can
argue with their strategy. The most challenged warrior for turn 50 was Uther
Pendragon of Deities and Demigods. Uther was the most challenged, but it was his
challenge to Stay Puft that made it through to the Commission. Uther Pendragon lost to
Stay Puft, so perhaps he should have accepted one of those many challenges he received
instead.
This arena is filled with scum. We also have warriors that prefer the total
parry fighting style (ba-dum-dum-dum). There were almost as many deaths in the
regular arena as in the Dark Arena. No big surprises with the warriors sent to the
night fights, except maybe Dominique from Weirding Ways. She had a win and kill on
her initial turn. Perhaps her manager saw something during training that he didn't
like. I've often noted the fickleness of managers, but each has their own
prerogatives, so at least it stays interesting for this spy reporter. Three regular
deaths, but none of them above the Initiates level. Revenant of Phantom Regiment was
the most experienced. While I mourn Deities and Demigods' loss of Nyarlathotep, I
will not miss writing it or trying to pronounce it in pre-fight events. Condolences
to the dead and good luck to those that will seek revenge!
Alrighty, my sweets, I must be off. I have a dreadful round of meetings with
interior designers at the SYP offices. I love interior design and I love spending my
boss's money, but he has such dreary ideas about what is acceptable. I'm sure I can
convince him to see it my way, or at the very least not to trifle with me when the
inspiration strikes me to do away with the drab eggshell and that horrid paneling he
oppresses us with now. Until next time, my loves!

Armsilbar liked being Master of the Stronghold Academy, all except for one part.
He had to talk to Sheila Greywand at least once a week, usually oftener. She was
getting more erratic. More chaotic. That would be the effect of the Grey Wand. It
was a powerful chaotic artifact, and she kept it with her always. She had turned his
predecessor into a frog--or 164 frogs--and then summoned all the members of the
Academy to a frog-leg dinner. That had been, ah, bad. Yes, very bad.
But here he was entering her chambers. With, well, it couldn't be called GOOD
news. And the look she turned on him--she was in an orcish mood today, all scowling
black brows and bared fangs--that made him nervous. But some things had to be done.
He cleared his throat, which seemed to have a frog in it, and said, "It's about the
next tourney prize, Lady. I know it's more than two months away, but this isn't too
soon to start thinking of some new, exciting prize--"
"I have no intention of thinking about 'new, exciting prizes'," she snapped. Or
was that a snarl? "These managers are getting above themselves. They act like I
created the arena system for their amusement! There will be one standard prize for
all the tourneys. Just one."
He had a horrible vision of all the managers walking out in a mass. Perhaps it
wouldn't be that bad, but it wouldn't be good. And if he said the wrong thing, well,
the next frog-leg dinner might be him. "Er, ah, perhaps a specific prize for each
tourney--a spring prize, a summer prize, and so on? The managers expect--"
She exploded. A literal explosion, the force of the blast blew his hair off.
She said several things in an obsolete dialect of orcish. He stepped backward, then
again. The blast had blown the door open behind him. If he could make it out before
something else happened--
"Ribbit! Ribbit!"
