SPY REPORT
Hello, my pretties! It has been a long day, so I do apologize that this report
is coming a bit late. I would like to blame the golems, but I cannot do that in good
conscience. I would also like to blame the gladiators, but they are innocent as well.
It has just been a beast of a day, and my bad mojo has only gained strength as the
hours passed. Oh well, enough complaining, you came here to listen to valiant tales
of combat and bravery. So, let's get to the arena news.
Minnesota Jones is out (and off to the Isle of the Eye), and Pucker & Bloat is
in, or rather on the throne! MJ had his last fight in Seam against Opacity: 100%.
Our former Dualmaster and new Lord Protector leaves with another win notched on his
scabbard. With Jones' departure, the throne was open for the taking. The title match
came down to a fight between Pucker & Bloat and Ben Nevis. I have already spoiled the
outcome, but what I failed to mention earlier was, IT WAS A DEATH MATCH! Pucker &
Bloat is our new Duelmaster, so it is not difficult to surmise poor Ben's fate.
Congrats to Pixelbenders and condolences to Thirsty Thugs.
The most avoided team was one that didn't show up to fight. Devil Dinosaurs was
the only inactive team listed in the rankings and the most avoided one. I'm Not
Eggbert avoided those dinosaurs the most. The most challenged warrior for the turn
was Bananas Gorilla of Huckle's Cats. It looks as if Bananas fought Stero Banewood
once again. I think this is the 3rd consecutive turn. Bananas came out on top last
turn, but it looks like Stero was able to adjust and pick up the win this turn. Will
we see more fights between these two?
It was not a good turn for Thirsty Thugs. I have already mentioned the death of
Ben Nevis, but the Thugs also lost an even more experienced warrior in Ledaig. Ledaig
unfortunately matched up with Seam's top ranked Aimed Blow, Stay Puft of Phantom
Regiment. It was not a long fight, but death is not judged by time, but its
certainty. The only other deaths in the arena came via the Dark Arena, and both came
from the Losers guild.
Weirding Ways takes over the top spot with an impressive 10-5-5. Yes, you read
that correctly! Five kills over the last 3 turns! The kill count is amazing when you
consider we have teams with 200+ fights and less than 5 kills. I would suggest having
a rookie waiting in the wings if you fight the Weirding Ways' warriors. Darque
Knights move up 3 ranks to the number 2 position, while Pixelbenders have the largest
gain of the turn moving up 7 to 3rd. I'm Not Eggbert drops to 4th from 3rd, and
Phantom Regiment rounds off the top 5.
It is time for me to go and call an end to this dreadful day. I do want to
congratulate Able Baker Charlie on his invitation this turn. Charlie is nearly as old
as this newly re-opened arena. I guess the adage of slow and steady winning the race
has some merit in his case. Enough, my darlings! I must be off! You have lightened
my mood and lifted my spirits, so now is a good time to close. I hope to see each of
you next turn in wonderful Seam.
