SPY REPORT
Hello, my sweets! It is a hot one at the arena today! The sun has been beating
down upon the arena sands unabated for days now and more than one gladiator walked
away with sunburns, sand burns, and an inordinate amount of armor chafing due to this
unrelenting heat. There are weather wizards claiming Ghea is going through a period
of increased temperatures. There is also another group of wizards that claim those
wizards are crazy. I don't know who to believe at this point, but I do know it is
HOT! Extremely, exhaustively HOT! Enough complaining, let's take a look at the
fights for this turn.
Pucker and Bloat forcefully took the throne last turn. He did not get an invite
to the Isle of the Eye, so the opportunity for title defense fell to him. As the
highest ranked Striker in the arena, he has a diverse group of fighters in the
Challenger Champions as potential opponents. P&B was challenged by Darque Knights'
warrior Hahari Hel. She obviously envisioned defeating P&B and ascending the throne
as Duelmistress. Pucker and Bloat had other ideas and made short work of his
challenger, defeating Hahari in 1 minute. Congrats on a successful defense of the
throne to P&B and the Pixelbenders guild. Pixelbenders are managed by Mixelplick.
The most avoided team for turn 52 was the inactive Devil Dinosaurs squad.
Weirding Ways was jumping at ghosts as they avoided them the most. The most
challenged warrior was Zushi of Lost Sentinels. Zushi accepted the challenge of Ra-Ra
Rainwar. It was a gory fight by most accounts that lasted 2 minutes. Ra-Ra came out
on top.
Karma posted the most gutsy challenge for the turn, lookin up in the rankings 22
points to Stay Puft of Phantom Regiment. Karma's bravery paid off as he was
victorious and picked up 23 recognition points. Honorable mention goes to C.P.
Golddigger, who posted a 20 point up challenge to Bananas Gorilla of Huckle's Cats.
Golddigger shot up 26 points in the rankings.
Live by the sword and die by the sword is how the saying goes. Weeabo had an
impressive 2-1-2 record entering turn 52, but he lost more than a bout this turn as
Blood put him down. His was the only death this turn. There were no bloodfeuds
either, so all in all, it was a slow cycle for Aringhol's realm. The Dark Arena even
had a rare week off. My Andorian sensibilities rejoice at all this good news, but I
know not everyone will share my appreciation for the lack of death in the arena.
Losers have an impressive 55 point gain, the highest for the turn, but it is
Phantom Regiment that jumps to the top of the pile in the 3 turn rankings. 9-6-1 was
good enough for Phantom Regiment to edge out I'm Not Eggbert. Weirding Ways drops
from number 1 to the third spot after going 2-3-0-1. Thirsty Thugs and Losers round
out the top 5. Phantom Regiment and Losers share the largest gain with 4 spot jumps,
while Darque Knights drop out of the top 5 from 2nd to 6th with the turn's biggest
slip.
I know that I have more than a few cold spells in my grimoire, so I must be off
to study. I will not make it through this scorching weather otherwise. So, I must be
