SPY REPORT
Hello, my darlings, Sidara Brightbell here to make your day a little brighter.
The weather has been damp and gloomy as of late, but we can enjoy the goodness of the
sands rain or shine! It was a completely mind altering experience in the arena today.
The rain was lightly falling and a slight tremor could be felt as we often experience
here in Seam. The fights began, and it was glorious! So, let's get to reporting on
these fights.
Bananas Gorilla joins the ranks of the Lord Protectors from the new Seam, but not
before fighting one final bout in the arena. As Duelmaster, many people would be
coveting a challenge or match up with the arena champ. No challenges made it through,
but Bananas found himself face to face with the arena veteran Karma of Losers. It was
a long match, but the bookies described it as an exciting one. Bananas Gorilla leaves
Seam with another win notched on his belt. With Bananas' victory, we still needed to
crown a Duelmaster so we turn to recognition points. We got a two-for-one deal with
our title fight because it was also a bloodfeud match. Barnabas Crow feuded Ghost for
killing him teammate C.P. Golddigger a few turns back. The spectators were less than
thrilled with this one-sided affair, but Ghost was overjoyed that he won and took the
throne! Congrats to Ghost, our newest Duelmaster! He is a member of the Phantom
Regiment guild and is managed by Nomad.
The most avoided team for the turn was Weirding Ways, and Darque Knights did the
most of the avoiding. We didn't really have a most challenged warrior for the turn.
There were many challenges, but not multiple challenges to the same warrior. I'm not
sure if that signals uncertainty by managers in making challenges or a marked
shrewdness in choosing targets. Since we don't have a most challenged, let's take a
look at other challenges around the arena, namely those of the up and down variety.
The biggest up-challenge belongs to a fighter that has already been mentioned in this
report. Barnabas Crow, seeking revenge for his fallen teammate, challenged up 38
points to face Ghost. He lost, but he certainly won the hearts of many in the arena
for such a gutsy challenge. Speaking of gutsy challenges, Dhotho Halfgray posted an
up challenge of 28 points to the former Duelmaster, Stay Puft from Phantom Regiment.
It was a quick fight as Dhotho beat Stay Puft in a 1 minute bout. The biggest
dumpster dive for the turn belongs to Kooksy Inurmout of Weirding Ways. He challenged
down 19 points to fight Thor of Marvel. You know it's a bore-fest when the bookies
note it as a "veteran vs. amateur" fight. YAWN!
Darque Knights move to the top of the ranks from 3rd with a 4-1-0 turn. Phantom
Regiment jumped up 4 spots to 2nd, while the former top team, Weirding Ways, fell to
3rd. Marvel holds tight at 4th, while Deities and Demigods fall from 2nd to 5th.
Apart from the movement in the top 5 there was not a whole lot of shaking going on in
the ranks, unlike in the arena and surrounding areas. There isn't much to report in
the death department either as our only death came via the Dark Arena. It is good to
see Pixelbenders back in the arena. They are always a welcome and competitive
addition to arena life!
It has been a short one this time, but I hope to see each of you back next turn.
Ghost gets an opportunity to defend his title from a packed Challenger Champions
squad. There also appears to be some trouble brewing between Weirding Ways and
Marvel, if one has been paying attention to the various challenges (more so down
